I have told some about the "majic" in my life...
I ask for something that I need and in one way or another at some time or another...it is sent.

About a week ago I asked that a cat come into my life, I tripped and almost got hurt because I stepped into a mole trail in the back of the house where I seldom tread, but I was picking up scrap lumber to use in the woodstove.
I talked to Larry about it (the moles, mice snakes etc.) and we agreed it was time to have a cat again.

Well look who showed up on Halloween. Not sure what to call her, Calli seems obvious, but would like something more original than that....she is soooo sweet.
And she just blends right in with the fallen leaves....

Any suggestions on what to call her???
I feel weird naming things but she's so beautiful I just want to stop calling "kitty, kitty"...

Well now her new name is.....HARVEST!!!!!!

I like Bridget too....but I was standing at the kitchen window looking out over the driveway and I didn't even see her till she moved, she just blended in so well.
Harvest time always has had a special place in my heart.

And budz you're right...cats don't care at all what you call them, just as long as you call them when the foods ready.
My daughter had a cat like that, her school bus driver brought it to her on the ride home one day...why?? I don't know..no one asked ME about it...
But anyway this solid black cat would tear through the house like it had a route. It would jump on this chair, graze that wall, jump over the stool, run under the table....and do it like 5 times in a row, same order, at top speed then collapse on the floor breathing heavily...she named it Bullet.

    Thanks all for your help,
    teepi

After seeing the Pic, Teepi? Her name seems to be Cinnamon. That's what her eyes say, at least.

Thats a shame Hef, I can definatly see you with a nice sweet fat cat.
They just make the place more homey.
And I know you love your home.

Larry is the same way, if the cat is in the house, he starts to have horrible problems with his eyes. And of course all the cats wherever he goes just love him.
So she will be an outdoor kitty.
She sleeps in Jackeddy's dog house at night, he comes in the house with me.

Thanks Chuck,Matt and Ceres...I love calico cats, looks like she laid in the fallen leaves and they all stuck to her.

And LUV...she's already reaping a harvest, she wasat the door at 5:15 this AM..."MEOW..MEOW...hey nice lady, I'm here for more of that food"...lol

Thats fine, just her presence should take care of the critter problems.
In the picture, she is sitting up on top of a 1500 board foot stack of poplar we will use on the house, it is stacked with pieces in between each layer to seperate them and to dry.

Well now there is a huge family of chipmunks and field mice living in this big wood "condo",
I love chipmunks...they are so cute and they will come right up and take food from you but I don't love them at the expense of my house.
We have plenty of space here and they can live here but not in my walls.
What I do have in my ceiling is lizards...lol

My studio area used to be our porch and we walled it in and knocked out the wall between it and the kitchen and made like a great room. The roof on the porch sloped off the house so we just cut some 2" styrofoam and put it between the joists, then on top of the joists we put 1" styrofoam and painted it and put wood strips to hide the seams.....well now I can hear the lizards in the little space between the styrofoam. It gets a bit loud at night...we have a huge ladybug problem here, and in Oct. they swarm, they get into every crack and crevice any small opening is an invitation for them to seek warmth.
I have to sweep them up all the time in the big room as it is the brightest, and they stay on the windows then they go comatose and fall on the floor or they die...its really weird.
They also bite, then if you smack at them or brush them off you they emit this funky grass smell.
I grew up all over and never knew they did this. Asian ladybugs is what they are.
So they get into the attic area and the ceilings and the lizards come in and eat them...
So.....I am living with, and learning all the time about Mother Nature..lol

She looks like a killer to me, Teepi. Bussy, is the name that comes to my mind. But it looks like you picked a name already, and she truly is very pretty. She also looks like she has the muscle power to take of the job you require of her.

Lots O'Luck with your new Queen...

    Sam

Love to eat them mousies... Mousies what I love to eat. Bite they little heads off... Nibble on they tiny feet.
