I've been looking for a place like this for quite a while, so I'm sorry if I seem to have a lot. 1. I have a lot of deja vu, so much so that I have trouble figuring out if it's already happened or if I just dreamt it. It began occurring when I was at least 11 up until now (I'm 16). Before, it used to be less frequent and simple deja vu, like events happening in real life to me personally however now it's getting complicated. I have these dreams so often and they relate to computers, tv, stuff that I can't predict I'll watch. It's so frequent and some don't even make sense. (I should mention that my grandmother & mother also had this, but I'm not sure if it's to the extent that I have it. At first it was simply psychic things that happen to me but now it's things I see, do, watch, read, stuff like that). I had a dream last night that I was with some boys (about two years younger then me) and we were in some kind of ship in the barracks. Suddenly it flashed to when Nick's, a blond haired boy, legs were dangling near the small round window. I said, "Oh look, those looks like Nick's before he was dead," and then a disembodied hand jumps out and I say, "Oh," -laughs- "That's the hand." Then I suddenly walk backward, but it's so fast it's like I got pushed out of the barracks and into a large, oriental style garden but everything is still dark and it's indoors. There's a woman from earlier (I don't remember much before this so I can't explain it) but she has dark glasses & a trench coat on. An older man, senior-ish, grabs her and launches a rope hook to the little sun window and they disappear. Meanwhile, I'm being attacked by rotting skeleton women and then the hand pops up. I see myself hitting the space bar and there's a blue circle focusing on the hand while I'm doing so and it's being beaten down. Then I woke up. I'd love to know if that had any significance but it's the fact that I felt deja vu during this whole thing and is what scares me. I never remember this but since I adore video games I Googled up some key words like video game disembodied hand but there's nothing. 2. Besides the deja vu, this is something I have never understood. I've tried to find an explanation but nobody, apparently, has ever had continuing dreams. In the sense that I dream one part and about half a year later, I dream the second part. I don't remember much of the dream but I clearly remember being in a train terminal and I get onto the train and the doors close. My dream ends. The dream replayed quite a few times, varying between weeks and months later. Quite a long time later, I'm guessing six months later (I could be wrong), I dream that I'm in that exact same train but this time I'm getting off it and I continue my adventure. I don't understand if that means anything, but is that normal? To have two part dreams? I apologize for writing so much, but those are two significant things I've never truly understood. Thank you so much if you can help me at all because those deja vu dreams are starting to take a toll on me. I thought it took a toll on me two years ago when I saw my friend die and realized it was possible because of the previous deja vu but now it's just disturbingly real. I get this even when I'm in class and I'm barely sleeping as I can still hear everything but yet I'm dreaming.
I've actually come across lucid dreaming while trying to find an answer related to the two part dreams. I think that when I am napping in class (being anemic makes you unbelievably tired), it is probably lucid dreaming. I can't remember what I was dreaming of but it was today. I just googled it and it seems accurate to what I experience as I can go from awake to dreaming in a few minutes. That explains that, but I'm not sure if/how it applies to the rest. Thank you Leejace for directing me toward that as it does explain that part :]
Actually a lot of people have continuing dreams, myself included. They seemed to happen to me every couple years, when something big happens in my life. The story continues, but things change, the same characters take different roles, the same setting but different contexts. Quite recently, like a couple weeks ago, I had a dream involving a train and railroad tracks. All I remember from it is I was on one of those two-man cars where you have to pump the levers up and down to make it go. Anyway, I remember looking down to see the track shift so I could merge onto the main track, and I had a stockpile of gold bars on the car behind me. I was trying to escape down the railroad track or something, but I believe I ended up being caught. Anyway, cool dream you had. I hope you continue to progress in your mental development.
