1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

You could also subscribe to the forums and get an upgrade to Supporter or Lifetime Supporter here

Consciousness is causally produced. It appears as a result of a resultant, namely mental volition, or mental action, or mental fabrications. That without mental volition, there would be no consciousness ... "therfore" (i'm assuming this was supposed to be therefore) there is nothing to become "one".

Consciousness is causally produced. It is produced by mental volition. Mental volition is causally produced. It is produced by perception. Perception is causally produced. It is produced by sensation (feeling). Feeling is causally produced. It is produced by sense faculty contacting form. Form is causally produced. It is produced by the four base elements, of which also the sense faculty are produced. That without its product, there is no result. No result, no "one".
