    Magnum Force

must be 20 years or so since I saw it, but I've always had a soft spot for Clint playing it cool in the days before political correctness.

    The Other Boleyn Girl

I was enjoying it until all the characters suddenly decided to start outlining to each other in great detail the full religious, political and historical implications of what was happening around them. Either they were all remarkably detached and prescient in those days or the scriptwriter was insulting my intelligence[IMG]

Would that be the classic 1973 version, or the execrable, misconceived remake featuring Nic Cage in a bearsuit?

Last film I saw at the flicks was In The Loop. Thinking of going to the new Star Trek movie.

'a cat in the brain.' by the italian director lucio fulci.
his two best known movies are 'zombie' and, 'the beyond.'
'a cat in the brain' proves one thing... FULCI IS SICK!

The original, with all the bits that were removed from the theatrical cut restored from a surviving video telecine version. Whenever the restored bits come up there is a noticeable drop in picture quality.

Never seen the remake, though I've heard it's unintentionally funny...

Has its moments, though they don't really make up for the overall tedium. I first saw the original soon after its release back in the 70s, at a college film club. I think I was the only person in the room who liked it.
