My Morning Jacket

Hey there, I just started listening to some of their songs yesterday and want to buy one of their albums. My favorite song so far is Rollin Back and I know its on the It Still Moves album but I was wondering if anyone knows if the rest of that album is kindof like that song, or if its just any good. Thanks a bunch

 

get "At Dawn"!! It's really good. I don't know if it sounds like the ones you named because i don't actually know those songs... but At Dawn is really great.

 

It Still Moves is a good album. There are a few songs on there that are similar to Rollin Back. It's a long record, but every song is good and has some of my favorite songs by MMJ.

"Z" is the album after It Still Moves and is my personal favorite by them, so I would recommend that. Their newest album, "Evil Urges", wasn't up to par I thought, although it still had some good songs. And like the post before me stated, "At Dawn" is very good as well. "The Tennessee Fire" is their first album, which is very raw and uncut. I would not suggest this album until you start to get into My Morning Jacket, as it's their early style and takes some getting used to. So in my opinion, if you're looking for more songs like Rollin Back, you should get in this order:

1. It Still Moves
2. Z
3. At Dawn
4. Evil Urges
5. The Tennessee Fire
