I am leaving next week to go to my little Hawaiian Farm in Halawa Valley on Molokai. Check it out on Goggle Maps. We are off the grid, make all our own power and grow taro! lol

Happy is comming over and so is Fatman. I tried to get Brad over last year but he had to take care of the garden at Skyline. Spud you knew that Mary Died?? Happy I hope will be able to really enjoy the visit!

Hope to make it to the OCF and see all who are there!!

We want to find a place close to Ashland - within 20 minutes drive time. We may get up to the Country Faire this year. Tell Happo Cathy and I said hi. Molokai sounds great.

 

I'm going to try to get to the Oregon Country Fair this year. Anybody have an idea of cheap places to stay. Money is tight these days and the flight from NYC will take most of what I've got to spare. It would be good to see some of the family again.

Also up behind Talent and Phoenix in the foothills sorta(West side), in the olden days (back 25 some years) there was some real nice little small acreage farm spots. But I am sure you know that!

Sheila and I ALMOST bought 5 acres there before we went back to the D.C. area.

I imagine that if we all make it to the OCF we will find each other! Truly hope it happens!!

Zev not to sure about cheap places to stay! It has been many years since I have attended the OCF. I have been told that there are camp grounds very close to OCF grounds that are very inexpensive. Also an RV Park that I think almost butts up to OCF grounds. Maybe like in the old days you can arrive a couple days early, get to Eugene check out a ride board or just hitch out to Noti with your guitar and hope to get picked up by a couple of fun loving folks who will let you stay with them!!!

AHHH.........Memories of the past and the mode of travel that was fruitful and exciting!!!!!

Maybe not tho these days!!!!!!!!!!

ps Z can maybe get some cheap air fares now, since we are about to go to the barter system! The buckets of bailouts will be running dry by summer!!!

If not then we should ALL get togather draft a letter of agreement, make a LOGO and claim that we are the "BANK of the GOOD EARTH,STP,MDA,et al" and get bailed out ! Shit I think we would do just fine with 1 Billion!! AND NO BIG BONUSES just equal disbursements to each member! I am sure we all need it! The FOOLS in D.C./Wall St. and the Insurance(I mean the legal theives) Industry are sucking us so dry that our new names should be DUSTY!

In the spirit of giving I offer the only thing that I do of any value to the world outside my house.. I have uploaded a large collection of my artwork to share with the Good Earth folks that were so kind to a poor street waif so long ago... Even with the 3 day limit on crashing the folks at the white house always seemed ready to make an exception for me. What I do now and because you all helped me make it to the point where I am now I would like to offer these small tokens of my heart and soul to you. You may find some use for them (some would make great album covers.. excuse me ..CD covers..hehe) and as always they are free for YOUR USE ONLY.. I left a contact EMail address in the Album and a picture of myself NOW, so you might recognize me (it could happen)

:cheers2:I just thought someone might find a use for one of them somehow... I make these at a rate of one a day usually... lately I have been slowing down a bit though. Getting a little old I guess, plus it doesn't help that I now have a bad case of Sleep Apnia and I spend a lot of my time nodding on and off. I used to smoke a lot of weed to get that way but now it is on the natch and It aint as much fun. Sure wish I could see Whitey. He would remember me as we used to spend a lot of time at Bob's Big Boy sitting up late at night drinking that super strong coffee they used to serve there.. or else at Tracy's donuts. Before he joined the GE he used to come and crash out at the Jefferey Haight Hotel at my friend Pat's flat. Also my biggest claim to fame was when I took 10 hits of acid and ran down haight street butt naked (at least till the tactical squad saw me talkin to a lamp on haight street and then I ended up at Park precinct. Took almost a month to get them to drop the indecent exposure charge and had to cop to a under the influence charge and do six months at San Bruno...hehehehe .. Those were the days ( at least the days I can still remember) I only remember small 2 minute bursts of "reality" inbetween a bunch of acid blackouts over a period of 25 minutes before I got caught and the 2 hours in the holding cell untill I came down and realized I was locked up.. They told me I did a lot of swinging from the screen over the cell and kicking on the walls and yelling a lot.. I don't remember none of that.. My friends all came to the precinct and tried to get me releaed to them but they say I spit on the Sargeant and he decided I was to srewed up to go home with anybody.. I must have really been gone out of my body (and my mind) for a lot of that.. Last I remember was running down the street and I saw sparks coming off of my body and something in my head said I was going faster than the speed of light and I remember I took off my clothes because I thought they were going to catch on fire.. Jeez, was I messed up or what??? I was about 22 years old then and after that occasion I could never quite take acid again cause it always ended up with me thinking I might get freaked out again.. Hard to get back up on the horse again when the horse keeps changing shape.. hehehe.. Anyway, I am MUCH BETTER NOW... Oh yeah it expanded my mind but when it snapped back to normal size it was 2 inches smaller between my ears I guess.. Had to give up all of getting high as my health just wouldn't stand for it anymore. It's OK though. I now get high on eating tofu and wheat grass juice. but really folks.. my life is one long stand up routine but nobody is laughing except me...(that is my wife talking but it's coming out of my lips.. how odd... My greatest high now is my kid.. She just got through with a Cats production here in Santa Cruz. She did real good but I am just a little biased I think... She's a great kid and even with all the acid I took she turned out just fine.. Guess they were wrong about the genetic damage they say it could give ya.. Moving right along, I spend about 15 hours a day in front of my computer using 3D programs to do my artwork. One program I use now takes and makes height maps from fractals and interprets them as Landscapes. It has great detail and I use them for some of the backgrounds in my pictures.. I am pretty much dedicated to making as many pictures I can before I take the jump to a more dipersed form of conciousness and give up the body altogether.. I want to leave a large collection that My kid might be able to make some money off of (hopefully)... If I make enough of them someone will want to use one for something that she can get a few bucks out of.. I aint got much else to leave her... Well, I have run my motormouth long enough and this is my stop so I with jump train .. till next time.. Hi--I copied the pictures to a file--but when I try to enlarge them--the dpi's get all screwed up--Was trying to send a couple to my daughter--but they ended up being about 2" by 2"--any ideas?

 

I've had a few emails with Manny in the recent past, though it's been a couple of years since the last one. Pretty sure he's still in Seattle. He and I both belong to the "aging hippie writers infatuated with technology" set. He's written a few articles for Wired, IIRC. IM me if you want his contact.

I connected with another of the folks from the Page/Cole house, Deirdre/Annie, as well...she's still in the City and doing well as a computer geek. Manny mentioned still being in touch with Michael Mouse...I guess lots of other folks on here are, though I lost touch years ago.

Oh, and thanks for reconnecting me with Eden. We've spoken several times by phone, though she was going through surgery last time I was in SF and I didn't get to see her. Tried to call Audrey as well, but her phone's disco'd. Any idea how she's doing?

 

Sure... If you want I can send you a copy of the originals... the website resizes the photos as I upload them and that may have done something to them.. My E Mail address is there on the gallery page so if you want to contact me with info on where to send which ever picts you wanted then I will be glad to send you the large ones... and thanks for showing some interest in them.. It is my life's work (well at least the last 10 years worth of work) so I am rather proud of the collection...

DragonWiard, That was a wild trip! Good story! I was reminded of the trips my buds and I would take and we'd be freaked wondering if we lost reality. We'd name a common item like a spoon 'reality' and if we felt we were forgetting we were humans on earth we'd get the 'spoon' and 'land'. Thankfully we never lost the 'spoon'. LOL

 

Hiya folks, hope ya'll had a bitchin' weekend bitch free of course . We had our 4th o July campout at the Horn, will post some more picture as soon as I upload them to my pc. It was hotter then two hells out at the lake, but thanks to air conditioning in camper we survived. I know, I know, AC while campin'? well dig it if ya can, Texas is HOT!! 107 on the 4th, ac is friend of old women and babies
We didnt get much fishin' in, cuz of the heat but we did eat good the four days we were there. It was a smaller then usual celebration this yr altho I am not fond of large crowds I did miss the ones not present this yr.
I'm restin' up today, tomorrow I start canning. The tomatoes are picked well the red ones the guinnies havnt ravaged yet. The cuks are coming on like gangbusters and pickles are on the list for tomorrow, but today I aint doin' chit, cuz I'm tired from all the fun at the lake )
