George Washington couldn't have been a Nazi or a Fascist because Fascism was introduced by the Italians (Benito Mussolini) in the 20th century, and Nazism later by the Germans (Adolf Hitler). Fascism, the ideology itself, could not have been conceived during George Washingtons time either, because fascism is anti-marxism, and Marx wasn't born until later in the 1800s. We also know too much about George Washington to know that he was not a fascist. George Washington even said "If freedom of speech is taken away, then blind and dumb we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter". The word Fascism even comes from the word Fasci (sp?) which was a little axe they had in the Roman Empire. The Fasist Italians and Nazis wanted to recreate the Roman Empire (their crazy historically inaccurate version of the Roman Empire, but the empire nevertheless). The idea that Washington was a fascist is ridiculous.
Have you guys really lost all your faith in your founding fathers? I know they weren't perfect, just like none of us are. But the majority of them knew that where populations had liberty, populations flourished, and that's why America flourished the way it did. George Washington was awesome, he grew hemp and smoked weed, he should get nothing but applause from hipforums.com lol.
