I got my second Nevada radar plane speeding ticket yesterday. Those planes are sneaky and the cop can't get you out of it if the pilot says no. Last time, I was speeding, no doubt. This time though, the ticket is for going 5 MPH over the speed limit on a rural freeway! Are you shitting me? This state must really need money.
*Aeroplanes* now? They'll be having people sitting in the back of your car to check u aint speeding next... "Switch and bait" tactics work ok with British speeding tickets in the post. Sort of "might've been me, might've been so and so, cant say..." The cops don't bother arguing usually.
I got caught speeing a couple of times in California when they were using planes about 12 years ago. I stopped speeding and that solved that problem.
I try not to speed down the roads....it's difficult because I hate driving under 60 mph....and all these 25, 35, 45 zones make me crazy. I would be shit out of luck if Ga implemented radar planes.
No, it was in Indian Reservation property, just like my last ticket. It's a reservation ordered plane with a highway patrol cop. Both of my tickets were in Reservation zones. My experiences here with native americans have been horrible. I can honestly say I haven't had befrinded or got along with one since I moved here, despite my best efforts to be nice. I never had problems with any group of people in California. Every group of people out here seems racialy hostile, including white people. it's nuts.
I hate rural highways. Thsi one client I have, it's a 100 mile round trip to his house and it's nothing but dessert and not the cool kind of desert with rocks. PS-Davetechie, if you're reading this. I got my ticket on the way to Yerrington. I know just the mention of Yerrington will make you laugh.
I've never gotten pulled over in CA unless I am doing at least 20 MPH over the speed limit. Here, they just pull you over for anything. I've gotten pulled over a lot, but only got a ticket the two times the cops had too. My husband's in the military, so usually they see my base sticker and let me go.
That has to suck, I'm glad I don't have to deal with stuff like that... but I keep to my own, I don't care about the people around me, and they don't care about me... keep to your own must be the motto, and I like it.
it does, and you can build a scrambler for a tickets worth of parts from radio-shack. or buy one. whatever you prefer.
I get along with pratically everyone and can calm down any tantruming kid without offering bribes. I actually have a really positive and calm vibe abotu me, or so I've been told.
Some of the planes simply note the distance markers and measure how long it takes to traverse them. There's no radar involved in that method. .
i saw those signs for radar enforced speed limits out west a lot. strange. i never saw any planes, and the cops were just as out of eye sight as well. that sucks though
