The fact that our society has given it a "bad name" in general.

The fact that a non addictive chemical can be so illegal.

The fact that manufacturers and dealers of coke and heroin abound but some chemist who made a gram or two of acid is in prison for life.

The fact that I can't order acid online through a website source without fear of legal troubles or getting ripped-off.

The fact that friends who want to share must always be careful that it doesn't come back to stick them in the back.

The fact that there are people here who have sheets to share, people who are looking to score and those who would cause trouble for both.

I wonder why there is such harsh legislature against this and other psychedelic substances. Is it simply ignorant law-makers or is there something else behind?

I don't know. It doesn't bother me overly that these things are illegal, the crafty will usually be able to get a hold of some. But I do wonder why. Hopefully we'll see more objective research on these things in the future, there has been research into psilocybin recently which yielded fairly positive results.

LSD is one of my favorite "drugs." When I first tried it I knew very little about it but luckily the odds were in my favor and I had a wonderful time. I think that if LSD was legal and/or easily available it could easily get out of hand. I sort of like the idea that if I want to trip I have to search out LSD or on rare occasions it finds me. In many tribal cultures before hallucinogens can be ingested there is first a quest for the materials which shamans and natives use as a test to see if they are meant to ingest it. Having to search out LSD before one can ingest it, not only helps to inform users on what to expect, but it also mentally prepares them for what they are about to encounter. Although sometimes it sucks not being able to readily get acid, if it were around all the time it could easily fall into the wrong hands, take Charles Manson for example. When I was younger I used to get really upset when I'd search for acid for weeks/months with no luck, now I realize that when I am meant to trip the universe will provide it.

I hate that trying to take a dump on acid is virtually impossible. It's twelve hours, jeez. some of us have quick bowels, lucy..

I hate having to arrange time and venue for tripping.

I hate that the chemical goes bad relatively easily

And then there's things that are uncomfortable but I wouldnt say I hate them since they are integral to the experience: body weirdness, the fact that you can't control it much, difficulty in letting go, etc.

I shit fine on acid unless I have a shitty diet a few days before my trip.

I found that a lot of chems like to tell you if you are taking good care of your body or not.

The last statement you made really surprised me. LSD is probably one of the most user friendly substances. Extremely easy to control, and on the higher doses, very easy to let go.

i mostly meant low doses, and not every time just sometimes, depending on what's goin on with me.

even if my diet is impeccable for weeks before tripping, I still can't poo. I guess if I fasted for a couple days and then tripped there would be no need for evacuation.

SO I guess both of these aren't really inherent to lucy, but more dealing with my own makeup in taking it. I don't think there is anything inherent to lsd that I don't like.

EDIT: I just noticed I should probly clarify that by "the difficulties are integral to the experience," I meant that none of the difficulties come without their counterpart "rewards," so to speak. That is why I cant say I dont dislike the difficulties because they are part of the process and growth can be difficult. I can't really advance without the difficulty in sacrificing the mind.

i hate how people can be so ignorant of their potential, they wright it off as just another drug like crack or heroin. even people that have taken acid and just use it to get fucked up miss its potential, and wright it off as just another thing.

but oh if they saw what we saw, if they went where we went, if they knew what we knew, if they felt what we felt, the world would change, there would be truth!

Would there? Would they? Do you really think a lot of those people would even understand what you understand? Would care, if they did? Would change, if they cared?

A million steps between the base and the summit, I don't get excited when someone just glimpses the base for the first time

well just seeing what we see would in some way force at least some bit of comprehension, and even if you did not comprehend it mentally, your being would understand it, and this would be the attractor towards the realization of oneness.

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink.

If you do not seek truth you wont ever see or understand it.
