NBC NEWS - An Oklahoma mother will spend the next ten years in prison for letting another adult blow marijuana smoke in her child's face...and it was caught on camera.

Prosecutors in Caddo County say this video shot last year shows a woman blowing marijuana smoke into the mouth of a 7-year-old boy, who has Downs syndrome.
Investigators say the mother, Caroline Beavers, sat watching nearby.
Workers at an electronics store notified police last April after finding this video on a computer that had been repossessed.
Beavers was arrested and charged with one felony count of enabling child abuse. She was sentenced Friday to ten years in prison.
Prosecutors say the woman who blew the smoke, Brandy Hugar, has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.

 

what the hell is wrong with people? didn't another woman do that to her kid and got in trouble?

Giving weed to "special" people isn't cool.

But there is this one kid at my school who is "slow" and smokes weed and I sell to him on a regular basis. I would never sell to a "slow" person but this kid is different because he used to be "normal" and I smoked with him many times.

He was just your average stoner until one day walking home from a festival he was brutally beaten up by a black man. And I mean beaten up, the guy stomped on his head like 20 times and just basically beat the shit out of him.

He's not completely messed up though I guess. It takes him a long time to pronounce words now, it's kind of like that jimmy kid in south park who stutters. But he walks like a "special" person now. Basically it's only his mobile skills and speech that are messed up.

The kid can still outsmoke half of the people I know though, he's what I call a strong kid.

Oh yeah the really funny thing is that before he got beat up he always hated cops and shit but ever since he met the cop that put the guy in jail that did it to him he has liked them.

 

But yes 10 years is obviously too much.

 

i was kinda surprised when i read she was in there for 10 years. it is kinda excessive.
but i mean.. come on you're blowing smoke into a kid with down syndrome's face? you have to be an idiot to not know you're not supposed to do that. and if you don't know, then you shouldn't even have kids.

i'm also surprised the mom was sentenced 10 years and the lady that actually did it is still awaiting sentencing... does that mean it'll probably be higher than the mother's? or what do you think?

Yes, ten years is excessive, this is what this movement is all about... and about the lady who actually did it? i can only imagine, she may just get off easy, which is strange, I dont really get it... so if someone comes and abuses my child, do I get punished for it?

 

If you are sitting right next to your child allowing the abuse to happen, then yes you should be punished

hahaha, i was with a group of stoners i hadn't met before and they let this girl, Piggy was her name, smoke a blunt. i couldn't tell until later when the weed wore off that she waas really mentally retarded. lol.

 

so people could ridicule them on the interweb.. I suppose from the read, the file was in the recycle bin on the computer and found by a technician.
