It's there, and it seems nobody does anything about it. I think that is horrible that a place like this exist.. and is so ironic, the place that has control over it is the one that talks about human rights, civil libeties, freedom.
Most people don't care about human rights until it is their human rights affected. For anything else: out of sight, out of mind.
And now these poor souls will languish ever longer without charge, without hope of an end to the torture they have long been subjected to at the hands of the criminal Bush cabal's tin soldiers, and soon enough without even a Supreme court disposed to uphold any concept of due process of law. This is our nation's greatest ongoing shame.
Not that there's a lot he can do about it, but why does Castro continue to allow the U.S. to have a military base in his country? It makes no sense to me.
I don't think that Castro likes the fact that is there.. but he's powerless.. And this is not only Bush.. is has been there for a long time, and I have not heard any U.S. President saying that they will eliminate it. Is like something everyone ignores and forgets it exist. While human beings are there, violating every human right they have. I think this is something they should protest about, remember the nation that is there.. and that it shouldn't be.
there is nothing he can do...the only way guantanamo can be given back is if We want to give it back..treaty of 1934.
