friend is selling his bong

he said its thick but he didnt say how big it is, it comes with a bag, but no slide. hes selling it for $30... should i take it?

if he says theres no slide, does that mean i need to buy a slide for it to work, or does it mean that theres a carb instead?

 

he's a friend right... go do some test ops and find out the seller should supply testing material .. you want to make sure it functions within operating parameters

 

I modified a one hitter using a rubber band to make a slide when I broke mine. Works great and is good for weed conservation.

 

no slide means no bowl.


Meaning you would have to buy a new one before it would work properly.


If its glass I would buy it.

offer 20, but yeah it sounds worth it. that is if you can get a cheap slide to fit it. but a slide (and a downstem) might end up costing you a lot. so tell him $20

hmm well im 2nd in line to get it so unless the other person backs out then its not mine. but hes also selling his zong for $50. i dont know much about it but its a foot long which would make it so much harder to hide...

 

You could just buy a new bong that comes with a slide for that price..... You could probably even buy a spliff too.

It depends on the bong. There's no point of buying an expensive bong unless you have more money to buy weed to put in the bong. And as long as it gets you high it worth it right?

If I were you I'd buy a $20 piece and get a gram of weed. Fuck the used bong.

 

yea i dunno about a used bong either. especially since it has no slide. does it have a downstem or "female piece?" my bong cost me $60, 2 and a half years ago. and it came with a glass on glass slide. it's nice thick glass and about 1.5 ft tall. (45 cm?)

if you only need the most basic slide with a rubber O-ring, that might be cheap. the headshop i used to go to sold em for $4.20 + tax.

go to the headshop and buy your own cheap bong. maybe get an acrylic one with a glass slide. or a bubbler?

 

Remember bongs are kind of like horses. They are cool looking, but they are startled very easily. One sudden movement can cause a bong to be knocked over and smashed into a million pieces.

a few months ago, i had set the bong on the floor next to me (dumb) got up to run into the living room (some tv show was on) and kicked my bong over. didn't break, just spilled. i've spilled my bong a good amount of times, and banged it on stuff, but that's it. i'd be very upset if this bong breaks. i've had nightmares about it. no joke.

the other night i had a dream that a drug dog was sniffing me in front of my parents. and we could tell when the dog signalled to the cop. he did, my parents were getting pissed, and then the dog sniffed my dad!

 

I've knocked my bong over many times too, and not just a little tip over. It actually fell of my bed and survived.

 

one time after using my bubbler I tipped it over and all the water spilled on my carpet (this was literally days after we got new carpet laid upstairs). I ended up on my hands and knees scrubbing for like 20 minutes, definitely a major buzzkill

so far I have not spilled my bong, though

 

get the bong can you get to aheadshop to get a new one if not how big is it what design you can get a slide cheap a good bong will cost you a decent amount if the bong is big enuf get a party slider for it and have a big ass bowl to pack although i paid 30 dollars for my slider which was a kick ass blue party slider and the bong i piad 30 for too which was like 2 1\2 feet tall and big ass base it had a small crack and the guy gave to me for 30 the crack never hurt it though

 

Big bong bowls suck monster cock, by the end of the bowl the weed is covered in ash and tastes like complete shit.

Used bongs are nice, but not a used 30$ bong lol. I am about to buy a used bong from my friend. He is selling his 9mm thick 20" blue label Illadelph bong to me with matching illadelph bushing diffuser. The thing is a fucking cannon. Also an expensive bong is an investment, just like if you buy a nice house, car, phone, or tv. A better bong looks better in general, has thicker glass, uses glass on glass connectors, might be stemless or might have percolators, beaker bottom, straight bottom, bubble bottom, might have an inline diffuser, etc. etc. Captain makes a good point though, don't spend all your money on glass to the point where you can't afford weed to smoke out of your new piece. Luckily I can drop 200$ on a bong and still smoke my usual amount, for other though, a 20-30$ is much more economical, though you miss out on all the high end features of a quality tube.
