I'm not looking for people to tell me "Well you shouldn't have brought weed to school." No shit.

Anyway I live in upstate new york and at our school they had a "lock-down" where they bring in bomb and drug sniffing dogs. Well, I was one of the lucky few who got busted. My shit must've just been super dank (it was actually) because I knew of tons of people who had weed in their locker. (Only 2 people in the school got busted including me). I got charged with unlawful possession. I only had about 2 grams on me and a resinated pipe.

What's going to happen? I read online that first offenders get away with just a fine, but I'm worried sense it was on school grounds they might treat it less lightly. Also, when I was 14 and 15 I got arrested for stupid shit not involving weed. (getting on the top of the roof of mcdonalds and going inside an abandoned bowling alley, its a small town). The files were "sealed" meaning no judge, employer, or anyone can view them. Or at least that was my understanding. Will these previous offenses come into play? Any help/advice would be much appreciated, although I'm gonna call a lawyer tomorrow. Thanks!

Well- since you aren't interested in not bringing your stuff into school I suggest saving text files on your computer for your third, fourth, and fifth busts, and so on because I see you've already had a second bust.

People who refuse to be smart about how they handle having weed and paraphernalia give everyone else who partakes a bad name. The biggest favor this forum can do for you is to not enable the moronic behavior that has snagged you twice already.

Oh- and since you now have a history of unlawful possession expect to be watched more closely by folks in charge... teachers, parents, police, etc.

    Fuck you :)

The "second bust" was a bullshit illegal search of my car. It was unlocked and the cop said someone tipped them off. Apparently the pipe was in plain visible sight, which was bullshit. Anyway, thanks a lot for giving me some real advice! I may not be the smartest with my weed, but at least I'm not an asshole.

Or maybe I was seeking advice from others who have been in similar situations.. ? Why would I need someone to tell me that I shouldn't have weed in school? That was not my question. My question was what was going to happen to me because of it, as I have never been in a situation like this before.

To stinkfoot: When did I say I wanted to continue to bring my shit to school? I haven't brought weed to school sense and I have no plans to. You jumped all over me like you were my fucking dad when I was just asking for some goddam legal advice. I did something stupid. I was hoping for some sort of peace of mind to know that I wasn't going to end up in jail or something. That's it.

Anyway, I really appreciate you guys' help! What a great community you guys got going here.

hey man, don't sweat it. you did nothing wrong, don't change your values because of this...

there are a few things you can do about a court case or pending judicial hearing at your school...

listen up, its all about the eye of the beholder, you wanna look good. sheeples like paper, i don't know why, but they are just obsessed with paper and especially if it has a signature on it.

    1. go to a counselor/psych/church leader - have them write a letter that says you are committed to working out your issues with a counselor. good kid, blah blah.
    2. get a letter from your boss saying you are a good worker and have a bright future in whatever field you might choose. make sure it is on company letterhead and you can use it for job interviews later.
    3. volunteer some place. not 8 hours, the magic number is 30. if you can get a letter that says you've worked 30 hours to help homeless people then you look like a fucking saint.
    4. a letter from your parents. not more than a few sentences saying they are concerned and dealing with the issue seriously and that you understand the seriousness. don't let them talk to anyone, just a short letter. they could potentially be the most incriminating people, so just make sure they don't say much.
    5. apply to a community college in your area. especially one with an online application, they send out acceptance letters to everyone. this will show forward thinking attitude and more often than not their courses are easier than high school and university.

also, dress in a fucking suit. not a polo and jeans. not wigga uniform and a hood attitude, a suit and tie. they'll take you seriously when you bite your lip and adjust your collar. sweat like you're scared.

    this works, believe it.

I have been in your situation and all I can say is man-up to what you did, and learn from your mistakes.

Your weed should never leave your home.

What kind of advice do you think we could give you? If you're gonna do the crime, you're gonna pay the time.

Everything we can say is pretty obvious. Don't be careless. And don't bring it to school. If you do, just hide it somewhere in the school where someone else won't find it, and if dogs pick it up, they won't be able to trace it back to you. And then pick it up at the end of the day.

you can sew the cops b/c they went in your car without your consent or a search warrant. i got busted for dealing in school(im not a drug dealer i was just getting good shit for my friend) and i just got 2 months of probation and 21 hours of community service....and for school i got 5 days OSS(it happened on the last day so i had oss in exam week). i also had a first offense which was graffiti. the kid i was getting it for just got 5 days oss and no real trouble. everyone in my school that gets busted for having shit is they just get kicked for like 4 months to a year(its mostly 4 months) i only got 5 days cuz it was the last day of school.
