Things I wish I had known/wish I hadn't done before I got locks

I wish i had thicker dreads...1"X1" is way too thin for the amount or hair i have, i have about 85 dreads...

 

this made me lol

yeah I only have 36 and they're all 1x1, but my hair is super thin/damaged.
In my next set, very far away, I want tons of teeny ones.

Before getting dreads....like maybe about 15 years before getting dreads, I wish someone had fucking educated me about them and saved me a load of hair hassle. Humph.

 

iwent natural so theres not anything i wish i did differently, except wish i had a decent hat to keep em off the ground years ago so i didnt kerep wearring off the ends i loose 5-8 inches even up to over a foot off the ends every few months now

no dude, damage from crochetting is what causes your locks to fall off.
