1. I bought some Escort camp fuel....which was beside the coleman camp fuel and states it contains naphtha yadda yadda yadda... anyway to verify this is infact pure naphtha without rust inhibitor and other things? should I let some evaporate and see if any residues are left? 2. I am using this tek http://www.dmttrip.com/extraction.html and I only have 4 litres of naphtha, and about 105 grams of mimosa...would smaller amounts of naphtha used every extraction be a problem? 3. Is it dangerous to let this evaporate in my room by an open window? could a lighter spark or something cause fumes to ignite or would the fumes be hazardous? I still live with my parents and the only other place I could use would be my laundry room, but it contains the heaters and stuff so many sparks and flames in the room.
First That seems to be WAY TO MUCH NAPHTHA!!!!! you should only be using 100-150ml for that amount of MHRB! Second, if not residue is left behind then you should be okay. I would recommend you going to the local hardware store and buy the naphtha there. Third, just don't smoke around the naphtha. You can close off that area vent it like you said and only use a lighter outside or on the other side of the house. I never like STB extractions, but if that id the way you want to do it then go for it, just only use a small amount of the naphtha. Freeze precipitate the naphtha and re use it. Wasting that stuff is like throwing money out the window.
why don't you like this extraction type? how long should I do the freeze precipitate for? will my room stink like zippo fluid? and is it a danger to keep it in my room...due to inhaling naphtha vapours? also I bought the naphtha from canadiantire...after I read camp fuel like colemans is same as naphtha... so should I just put a small amount in a cup, let it evaporate and if its completely evaporated Im in the clear?
It is not as clean as an A/B extraction you get faster results but lower quality. I would precip over night. If you evap. then yes the room will smell like naphtha. It could make you a little dizzie with prolonged exposure. Make sure it is clean before you use it.
doing the 3rd extraction right now, took out the original extraction from freeze and put the naphtha back into the pot.... bunch of salt looking crystals in first yield some yellow/brown ones.
that is what you are wanting. I guess, you are going to have to clean that up a bit once you are done
