you're just looking for a scapegoat, alls of ya. or you just get too bored with reality and delight in the sensationalism of conspiracy plots. dramatic.
well you see, i hear what various sources have to say, and i take it all with a grain of salt, realizing that everyone has a bias. I don't put my faith in the media, certainly not, but I also don't let people try to brainwash me with conspiracy theories either - they have an agenda of their own (like trying to turn you against certain establishments)
So what makes you think it's any different with the people who post in this forum? I think for myself and question everything. Sure, a lot of the conspiracy stuff put out there is bullshit, just like most of the stuff you hear on TV. It's up to an informed individual to know where to separate the wheat from the chaff. The fact is that most of what people THINK they know is not what they think it to be at all. That isn't to say that every person who has an alternative viewpoint is right, either. People have to do the research themselves and not simply swallow what anyone tells them.
yes, i agree with the majority of that. the original post was my immediate reaction after looking at a few posts in this section. it seems that most people are pulling things from their asses, pointing fingers, and getting all excited over the drama
Yeah, I would say at least 60% of what is posted in here is bullshit and I do not agree with it. But you can't lump everyone into the same category based on a few posts.
this is obviously a 'plant' post put here to throw us off the truth....dudes probably got mason blood
ugh. i guess i have to edit the original post to "Most of ya..." SHIT You guys are sharper than i thought
i fail to see why mixing the absurd with the plausible in something such as conspiracy theories is "scary".. or why someone expounding on such theories would "scare" you. seems a bit of a emotional reaction to what you say you dont take much stock in..
scary, used loosely. the fact that most of what i have read here seems really (to me) absurd, and so i was disturbed that so many *do* take stock in bullshit theories, and seem to get off on sensationalism. like a reverse of what they say they are against - purposely causing a mania. that to me is batty, and can effectually cause more problems than there already are
i find little thats posted here "absurd". in fact i believe there are little shreds of truth in most conspiracy theories. as has already been stated its up to you as a individual to research for yourself, find the truth from all sources and connect the dots .
what is absurd: people who know nothing about biology/human physiology are coming up with theories regarding deadly viruses when they dont understand the basics of the science before they start delving into conspiracy claims - allowing them to patch together the parts that makes sense to them, its all very convoluted. and the fact that its totally cool here to begin a theory by stating: "it's true because i just thought it up" - something to that extent.
maybe he should have used the sarcasm smiley?? oh you bet your ass conspiracy will swirl around this outbreak for a very long time.
Yeah, but there are also conspiracy facts. 'Conspiracy theory' is a derisive term conjured up by the Tavistock Institute in the 60s to marginalize and discredit people with alternative sociopolitical views. 'Conspiracy theory' and 'conspiracy theorist' are trigger words which paint an immediate picture in people's heads based on all the stereotypes that have been put out there over the years in television and movies, to portray people who think differently and don't just parrot everything they hear on the 6 o'clock news.
Can you give an example of what you're talking about? If you're talking about the AIDS denialism thread, you should know that among the ranks of "AIDS denalists" (which is a loaded and misused word -- much like 'holocaust denier') are Nobel Prize winning scientists. Personally, I have not come to a conclusion about the AIDS virus, but certainly I don't believe the official explanation, either.
Mixing the absurd with the plausible (or, more often, the proveable truth) is a big problem with people who follow conspiracy culture and all the gurus put out there. By mixing relevant information with fantasy, they automatically discredit the legitimate, irrefutable facts in most people's minds, casuing them to throw the baby out with the bathwater. This is why I believe that the truth movement is controlled opposition that is designed to make people who talk about certain things look ridiculous. It's the reason they made Alex Jones the "leader" of this movement. They must ALWAYS control the opposition. That's why you never join any movement or associate yourself with any group or organization, because more than likely they have been infiltrated.
Pressed Rat, exactly. You always see on the media the most RADICAL idiot with views in the same pasture as yours. And when asked questions they get it all wrong while you're screaming "NOooooo!!!!!!" from your couch.
