Is it against the law to dig large holes on public property?

    Such as in a forest?

I cause mischief at my local forest, among my plans are to dig several graves around the place

I cant imagine it being illegal, maybe the public gardens but this is a forest 5 mins out of town, I'll more than likely do it anyway but I'd rather not pay a fine if theres some silly and oppressive anti-hole-digging-legislature

I've searched and havent found anything. Does anyone know if anywhere actually has a law against this sort of thing?

I imagine if you're digging people graves with intention to fill them, then yes, it might just be illegal. But I'm no New Zealander, so I've no clue. But if I was there, I'd sneak out and help you. I'm still all dark and gothy at heart. :D

Please clarify. Are we digging up someone else's grave? Or digging a grave for a pet or something?

I'm Only Guessing Here, But I Feel N.Z. Laws Would Most Likely Be The

    Same As Here In O.Z..

I Think You Will Find, It Is Legal To Dig A Rectangular Hole, BUT, It

Is Most Definiatly Illegal To Place A Body In It..:D.

And If You Do, Don't Forget To Abide By The 3 S Rule.

    Shoot.

    Shovel.

I'm not going to fill them I just want them there for shock value so if someone strays from the path into one of my clearings they'll see them and be confused and hopefully a little frightened

If I can get enough cheap rope I'm planning on making lots of hangman's nooses and tying them to various branches around the place

and i do other stuff like smearing blood onto rocks to make sigils and inverted pentagrams and building big pentagrams out of logs and making circles from stones. and sometimes i stand on the path when i see someone coming then as they get closer i snarl and run off into the depths of the forest. its great fun.

basically if I ever see in a local paper that theres concern over a possible satanic cult in the forest, then I'll know my life is complete.

i love that idea :) unfortunatley telling all of us about it may take the piss out of it.

you should read "look me in the eye" by chris robison... he describes various pranks such as that, he pulled as a teen. some of it is so genius i couldnt even believe it

I so told you I would've hung out with you if we went to school together. This sounds like a plan I'd DEFINITELY go along with. I'm excited just reading about it.

If you cause unrest in the community, and cause the police to go looking for a possible serial killer...yeah, that's going to get you in trouble.

Other than that, the only problem I see is if you dig and hit some pipes or wires...
