You are missing an important program that is needed to do whatever it is you need to do?

Id say you firewall or AntiV is blocking the applet. Then I'd go on to explain exactly what is happening, but i can't be bothered.

 

I'm on a PC. It is second hand but fairly new. I have not got the settings sorted...obviously. Yes, I am using Internet Explorer.

I managed to go around the embargoe by using my:

It could well be the firewall. When I used my Internet doggle it let me download Java. I go back to a highly firewalled connection and i have issues. I'lll try using my doggle again.

Sorry I could not be of more help. I mean, yah, I am getting sort of the same message and I think it is because of my zone alarm. I guess I could have added that..

And that it could be because you need to enable your javascript/adobe in the internet tools > options > content.

It looks as though it is related to movie/game content.

I thought it was the updates, as the computer had not been touched in a long time. It wasn't that. I did this: enable your javascript/adobe in the internet tools > options > content. That didn't help.

It was the connection. I'm in now. Works fine.

I do know there are multiple reasons why the red x apppears...hope you find a solution.
