alright guys and girls im at 6 months now and need some reassurance, the dreads are going good but my roots are very loose in some places to the point where the middle of the poof is taught and straight but around the outsides at the base of the dread hair is "poofed" out kind of like one of those chinese lantern balloon things in rush hour 4. and i have tons and tons of loose frizzies, im not going to do anything with it but i just need some sort of reassurance. thanks

It's normal and they'll sort themselves out eventually :) A bit of root rubbing now and then can help; it doesn't take much to make some difference, so you wont be in danger of breaking all your dreads off.... (...otherwise I'd be bald now etc)

Dreadlocksa are crazy, thats why theyre so awsome too have, i have a few loose frizzys but i took Soaring Eagles advice and just left em, i think they kinda give my dreads some character anyway, and the loose roots will either knot on their own, or you can clockwise rub them and damage them, up to you really

post some pics hax! the 6months flew by for me, I don't know about you. They're still babies :) I think the change between 6-12 months is going to be huge so just keep believing in nature and shizz. some parts of my hair are still incredibly loose and look like they will never lock. I doesn't matter though, your hair will do what it wants and that's how it should look. I wouldn't mess with it either, just leave it and love it :)
