A common enough wish, just told my way. Life's Flower Garden In the dawning light, the eye opening, soul soothing, dawning ligt, I stepped into a garden. A garden of life showing flowers of different shades, different aromas. Some lovely but, with thorns, some soft, some rough, all jumbled together. The path stretced on, presenting each in clusters. A hand reached toward a soft petal may feel the prick of a thorn. I walked down this path, wanting to reach its end, and being cross at my own distraction by the flowers, the eye-catching, mysterious, ever changing, life-presenting flowers that distract the mind from the future and lets it float in the now. I saw another on a close path, a path more beautiful than my own but, there they stood, never moving -just an inch a day, looking at each flower, petal by petal, color by color, experience by experience. The path that was mine so hastily put together and theirs so perfect, so clear and with a shine. I could but, stand and watch. A feeling came upon me. A creeping, soul crushing, feeling of doing everything wrong. I looked to the flowers at my side and felt their petals, experienced what they had for me to experience. I flew high and fell low only to soar and allowed my path to be smoother, gave it the time to make it shine. The other that was at a path on my side, that bright shining clear-eyed path is far past me now but, mine is beginning to glimmer. I observe each flower that the path of life presents and have found that I love every single one. May each day be a beautiful flower for you to expereience, may each life be a walk through such a garden. Life is meant to be lived. When we try to travel too fast, we miss out on the beauty of the flowers in Life's Garden. Life is now, not later. <3
