I'm looking for colleges and I'm in some desperate need of help. I don't really know what I want to do, at all, so I need a variety of majors, and I live in Maryland but I REALLY want to get to a new area, just not north, I'm not good with cold. I don't really want a school too big or too small, and not too expensive. Just with nice people, and sort of laid back. Yeah I know. . . dream on I'll never find the perfect school, but any suggetions would be really great!! Thank you so much!
Ever here of Wesley College in Dover? It's really small, it's kinda cheap (depending on their scholarship offer & most kids gets scholarships), & the variety of majors is so-so. But a large chunk of freshmen are transferring right now...I don't, it depends who you contact.
www.berry.edu Berry college is cool. You can qualify for many scholarships regardless of grades when you first come here. It is in Rome, Georgia which is about an hour from Atlanta and eight hours from Savannah. For more info just visit the site. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me. Peace
I found the Fiske Guide to Colleges to be very informative. The only problem is that it leaves a lot of schools out (there are simply too many schools in the country to have a comprehensive quide that includes them all). It tries to focus on schools that the author finds unique or interesting. Therefore a lot of really good (but not particularly interesting or unique) state universities are not included. But go down to the bookstore and check it out. Don't buy it, just read at the store.
www.hendrix.edu It's in the middle of rural Arkansas, which sucks, but it's about a half-hour drive from Little Rock and is one of the best-kept secrets in the South. There are no greek organizations and just about everyone lives on campus. I would've gone there, but I can't afford it and don't feel like taking out hefty loans. It's in the low 20's though, if that's in your range.
