Earth Day

My oldest son reminded me that it was Earth Day this morning. He was hinting around about wanting me to make a special treat to celebrate. Last year we made cookies that looked like the Earth. But you know, call me lazy but I'm not really feeling like doing that today. Maybe I'll just make one big cookie cake in my pizza pan and decorate it to look like the Earth, then cut it into individual slices. That would be a lot faster than decorating 3 dozen individual ones, no doubt.

 

How fitting that I will be tilling a garden later.

im gonna try to make it down to central park for an hour or two, theres always something going on

 

Coincidentally, today I'll be working on a project in After Effects that will deal a lot with nature!

That's about it though. Probably smoke in honor of mama Earth tonight and lay in the grass

 

i might hug the tree in the front yard and tell it how sexy it looks while making oxygen for me to breath.

I may rake the rest of my back yard today, unless I have to pick up at kai at gym. In that case I'll hit a bucket of balls for earth day.

 

I'm going to do my part. I'm off to bury some styrofoam and burn some rubber. While I'm at it, I'll pour oil on some ducks, and borrow someone's Hummer. :cheers2:

I think it's an especially good holiday for kids to get involved in. theres nothing really negative about this day (as i see it) - at least there's one day a year where people think about their impact on the natural world. why do you hate it?

 

because they are just trying to be contrary
