And I feel good... When I was walking in, the lady outside with all the Bush signs told me my skirt was really pretty... haha. When I was driving into the voting place, they had a Kerry tent and a Bush tent, and they were all smiling so big and waving at me like they'd missed me so much... it was great. But Miss Bush did not sway me with her flattery.... All the little old men running the booths were really cute. This one escorted me to the booth and was like, "we have a first time voter here! Take care of her!" and they were talking about how good they were at putting on the "I Voted!" stickers, especially when it was for pretty young ladies... haha. When I was leaving, I saw a Tennessee Titan, but I'm not sure which one it was. He was just enormous and black and he looked at me like I was really supposed to know who he was.... haha. Good luck, dude. I think his name is Kevin something... he lives down the street from me.
jeez, people kept looking at me like it was my first time voting. i had a guy out front ask me "are you between the ages of 18-25?" i just said "no." he was totally stunned. i said "i'm 30." just so he wouldn't think i was trying to avoid him. he wouldn't believe me. then i got id-ed for beer, and the woman wouldnt believe my id was me, made me repeat all the info on the id, then asked me what sign i was and who was president when i was born. unbelievable.
today was my first time voting, too. it was great. i live in a REALLY small town, so i walked in and everyone knew me and knew it was my first time and was all like, "yay! young voter...we're raising 'em right."
I voted for Kerry... It doesn't look like I made much of a difference here, though. Oh, well. At least I got a sticker.... that's all I really wanted.
I Voted! The best part was the cute little old men working there... I wanted to take them home with me.
