...from apartment complexes you once lived in that say you owe them tremendous sums of money you don't have. How about you? Anyone fuck your shit over lately?
I keep getting Income tax letters from the government threatening criminal charges if I dont get some 2 year old paperwork done...Im almost done though
I keep getting calls about my credit card debt....some fucktard gave my cell number as their own. Otherwise no. I keep stuff paid off. Plus the doctor that was threatening to sue me can't anymore. :cheers2:
My work fucked me over. 31 years doing the same job and I get rolled back during restructuring. Now I'm making about $3.50 an hour less. On a positive note many coworkers from all shifts raised hell about what they did to me. It didn't change their minds, but at least I know the people on the floor thought I was worth my salt.
Sometimes this place calls and says I owe money for some lab tests I can't remember ever having...I've only been to the doctor once since I turned 18 and my dad paid for it. Fuck if I know, I don't really care anyway. Until they call me again. And it's funny, it's for like $75. Not all that much, but fuck them, I don't recall having any lab tests done!
I used to get letters once a week informing me that I was going to be sued for not paying a $50 medical bill.
I have a 1250$ bill from brackenridge in austin for an ambulance ride i neither wanted nor gave consent to.
I recently got a Happy Birthday card from the Department of Licensing telling me to renew my drivers license. Atleast they tried to be positive.
Oh I just love those....up here your drivers license...license plates val tags..and some other stuff like mechanic licenses all have fees that are due on your birthday
I received a lot of letters from the City of Newcastle, England who somehow got a hold of my Australian address asking me to pay all of the council rates outstanding on the flat i'd lived in even though I had paid half of them and my Housemate, who still lived a few blocks from the house, hadn't paid any. I got sent a court summons as well. What was I going to do, fly over? Talk about chasing the wrong person.
Stupid ass student loans bills. Most impersonal shit you will ever deal with! Don't expect any sympathy in regards to unforeseen circumstances from the student billing office either, stupid fuckers.
indeed with the student loan bills. i have not a lot of student loan debt, but they've been deferring it because i'm poor and such. so i reapplied as usual for economic hardship deferment, which according to my calculations, i qualify for... just barely, but still in the limits. but they denied it. i haven't looked closely enough yet to see if i have any negotiating room or not, but still. money's a bitch...
My 17th Century English teacher told me that I could only get a D in his class, because I missed too much class... because I was like super sick and had a medical excuse... through e-mail because he wasn't man enough to say it to my face. Fuck him. No fun.
Zilla, what is that money for, did they say? I had that happen to me and my old flatmates down in Brighton. When we were moving out, our scumbag letting agency guy shows up and says we owe the landlord £2,000 for unpaid water bills. Yeah, right. We had paid him our share every single time. Apparently, after we had been living there for over two years he realized that we hadn't been paying enough (all this according to the landlord) and decided to start demanding more money from us. Idiot. So do you think you actually owe them money or are they just trying to fuck with you? Every single letting agency I've had to deal with is just a bunch of lying scumbags who try to steal as much of your money as possible. That's exactly what happened to Tim. He hadn't even lived in that flat in like 10 years, and when he did he always paid his share. The other people didn't, and apparently the council couldn't find their contact details anywhere and so they started harrassing Tim. It was so utterly ridicilous, he had to go to court for it too. Having to pay council tax really pisses me off, it's soooo much money and where does it all end up..
Lots of companies are wannabees and opportunists with bullshit debts. I had one from a phone company years ago.A dialler had racked up a bill. Brit Telecom basically has a racket going. Its profiting from a conspiracy to defraud. Because they should not be entering into contracts where they pretend they don't know the identity of the other party. So I said to the prick in the head office that I'd be resisting the claim and bringing a private prosecution against him and directors. So they bottled it and gave me £100 and sthg, and I still grassed him...the cocksucker...
Some of it was definite bullshit. Ridiculous cleaning charges. Example: $20 for "trash removal" - there were a couple hangers left in a closet. So lots of little charges like that. But the doozy was the carpet charge - $800. Yeah, the carpet was kinda fucked up in a couple places, but WHAT!? AND I put down a $600 deposit, yet they calculated that we only put down $200. It's a big fucking mess. I was excited to actually have some extra money. Such bull.
Next time you move in somewhere, read the lease. That stuff is almost always clearly laid out with price tags and all.
