Obstructionism must be a some sort of craze now. I've had a used car dealer make up all sorts of excuses to me why I couldn't test drive the car I was interested in buying. This lady running the lot was really strange. She came up with one obstruction after another and then said I needed to buy the car today if I wanted to test drive it. Then there was a guy at an auto parts store that put up all these obstructions for me buying this little part I wanted. He basically talked down on me like I didn't know anything about cars and made me beg him for the part until he finally gave it to me. I should have just found another sales guy who didn't act like an idiot. What is with these people? Does their ego mean that much to them that they have to gratify it by giving others a hard time? Even if it means losing sales or being reported by a customer to their supervisor for acting like an idiot? They should all go into politics. .
That's what I ended up doing. Plus I gave them some 'nice' reviews on all the business review sites I could find on the web. I did complain about the parts salesman to the district manager. It took a while to get his name. The higher ups in parts company obstructed me quite a bit. I had to really persist before they would give me any contact info. .
There are business people out there who are about 30 years behind the times and incredibly stupid. They think no one is talking about anyone else on the web. .
