I just need to rant briefly. I tend to like updating my computer, there's just some satisfaction to knowing it's updated (and in the case of my pc, with the hope that it may avert future flaws that would have struck me eventually). BUT my school-mandated laptop had a harddrive failure... I got a loaner, out of date on security updates, so I spent most of a day getting it fixed up. Now my original computer, with a new harddrive, is back, which means I'm spending my whole evening updating this one! Never mind losing all my data and the joys of trying to dig up whatever I could from old emails. At least I learned my lesson -- I have a new 500GB external drive to back-up everything. I may have to re-do all my updates again some day, but no more losing data. *sigh*
precisely... keep tools handy for one(hammer preferably)...and always remember...talking dirty works and fists are actually good tools...every computer is different and every computer acts differantly when you hit them...
