I really don't know too many people who fuck up their taxes. Maybe a handful who have evaded them and got audited - or they claimed too little when they received large sums of financial student aid.

Haha, but nobody is afraid of the CRA. If they came to the door I'd totally get the a beer.

    Yes.

They don't knock on your door and politely ask "may we come in?"

Meh. Lack of knowledge on my part (and lazyness.)
I was self employed for about 30 seconds 3 years ago.
But, that meant I needed to fill in a few forms.
I never received them but never asked for them.
Should have been a little more diligent.
Nobody has come around my house, yet...I may just have a heart attack if they do.

    Hahaha. That's so sad.

Yeah, I hear that Nixon used to routinely harass his political foes through the IRS. Apparently the government still does this to labour movement groups as well. That's so sad.

Yeah. I pay someone to do my taxes for me.

And we have longer to do them here in Canada. The USA has until April 15th or whatever. We have until like, the beginning of May and if you miss that deadline you have until June. Haha, the CRA don't care as long as you hand in your homework with a smile. :)

    Lucky you.

Oh, we have a fair amount of time too. Even longer if you do it online.
Hindsight being a wonderful thing - I know all this BS now.

A Ron Paul interviewed documentary. This Jewish dude talks about how his house was raided by the IRS and his business was too.

No one is asking your father and others to pay more than their share. But they should be paying their share and many aren't because of tax breaks and loopholes that favor only the upper class.

No, the government is planning on making anyone who makes over.. i believe 250k a year to pay at least 4% more taxes a year(i just woke up, and some of my numbers may be off, i apologize).

People who work hard for their money, should not be forced to pay more taxes than the person who doesn't want to work hard for a better life. It's your choice to work at burger king, you yourself can face the reality.

Now see this just isn't true, plenty of rich people did nothing to earn their money while believe it or not most poor people don't enjoy being poor and do it on purpose.

Ah, I read your post a few pages back and I understand now, teenage angst

That is not true at all. In a country where there are over 1 million names of people not tried or convicted of anything on a so-called "terrorist watch list," do you honestly believe anything you just wrote above? In America today, you are guilty until proven innocent. Yes, the IRS still raids people's houses, kicking in people's doors, pointing guns at people's heads, and stealing everything they own. It happens, and on a not so irregular basis.

And who determines what somebody's "share" is? A corrupt government ruled by a private central bank that commits atrocities both abroad and here at home, in its people's name?

If you want to talk about tax breaks and loopholes, maybe start with the people in Obama's cabinet who were found to not be paying their taxes and obviously getting away with it because of their elite status.
