My boyfriend and I live together in somewhat of an older house. We also live across the street from a cemetary which makes things somewhat spooky. I am a believer of ghosts and I'm very interested in the paranormal. Sometimes it seems like I can sense ghosts and spirits but I've been living in this house for about a month and I sense nothing. Besides, I don't think living right next to a grave yard would make it's surrounding areas haunted unless someone actually died at the graveyard, would it? I still don't think this house is haunted because nothing too weird ever happens here. But last night kind of spooked us. We went to bed around 11:00pm, which is actually very early for us. We were both feeling drowsy and could not keep our eyes open any longer. So we went to bed and instantly fell asleep. Within a 2 hour period, I had six nightmares that I remembered vividly. I NEVER have nightmares either which I thought was weird to have six of them in one night. But each nightmare got scarier and scarier until I just woke up in a panic during the last one. The last nightmare, I was laying in bed with my boyfriend who was in a deep sleep. In the dream we lived together but in a completely different house. I remember there were two guys who were standing outside of a glass door (in our room) that led to the outside. We don't have a glass door in our room. There were too guys, a skinny guy and one obese guy. I couldn't recognize either one of their faces but they might have had darker skin. The bigger guy opened the door and walked in, holding a knife. The skinnier guy stayed outside. The bigger guy came up to me with the knife while I layed there paralyzed and unable to move. The guy apologized for what he was about to do to me and said that he was sent into my dreams to kill me. So apparently I knew I was dreaming. He also told me that what he was about to do wasn't going to hurt me but he also said that I will never wake up and my boyfriend was going to find me dead in the morning for unknown reasons. Then he took his knife and kept stabbing me repeatedly. There was blood everywhere and I kept trying to scream for my boyfriend to wake up but he never did. Then I was at my last breath, and at the last minute, I woke up. I felt my stomach and chest for any knife wounds but there were none. My boyfriend was still sleeping but within 20 seconds after I woke up, my boyfriend suddenly woke up, got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I was really freaked out and when he came back to the room, I asked him if HE was having nightmares. I don't know why I asked him if he was having nightmares when I was the one having nightmares. But to my surprise, he said that he was having nightmares. He had a nightmare we were living in a completely different house and some fat guy broke into the house and stabbed me to death. Our dreams were so identical it was weird. We stayed awake and talked about it for a few minutes until we fell back to sleep. After that, the nightmares stopped. Two hours later, my boyfriend woke me up again. He said he heard something at the door. Then I woke up and we heard knocking. He went to check it out but then the knocking stopped. He closed the door and went back to bed. The nightmares were gone for both of us but throughout the night, we heard knocking, scratching at the doors and even footsteps. Not only that, but the house which is normally really warm at night, felt really cold all night. We even turned it up to almost 80 degrees (its not even that cold outside), and we had the heater blowing at us and it still felt very cold. We eventually fell back to sleep even though we kept waking up throughout the night hearing the same noises without any explainations whatsoever. When we finally woke up this morning, everything seemed fine. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened. It seems like demons entered our house for one night to terrorize us and left by the morning because now everything seems normal. Just want to share my story because it was such a weird night that really spooked us.
Spooky! Ever try a cleansing ritual? Maybe just confront them. As scary as it might be, educate yourself, prepare for a showdown so to speak. Many terrifying ghosts are there to do exactly that, terrorize, and that's it. When you're ready, wether it takes an hour or a decade, call them out, meet them in your dreams, find them in a mirror. Perhaps it wasn't any actual spirit, but a sign? Ask your spirit guides, research what it might have meant. People discard dreams far too non-chalantly.
Spiritchalist is right. If it is a spirit, many of the nasty ones that feed off fear need to build some momentum before the shit really hits the fan. In other words they start out intimidating you in subtle ways at first(dreams, bumps in the night) causing you to gradually become more afraid and the spirit and the activity will get worse and worse. I also agree that at this point it may not actually be a spirit.
I agree a cleansing ritual might be a good idea. Create a space that welcomes dream visitors with good intent but repels all others.
Hi Fluttersteke Energy Pockets are spaces , much like a bubble, that are filled with specific energy, and played out like a movie. These energy pockects fold back on reality, and you get a glimps of a different space, and reality that is around you. Kind of like looking through a window into another time. When we are drawn into these bubbles, or pockets we become like actors in a play. This can be for a karmic reason in past lives, to clear energy, or for the purpose of healing, and, or finding a way to move beyond the attacments these specific energies stroke within us. These pockets can be for the one dreaming, or for the one in the astral field trying to resolve the energy to move beyond it, or to face fears, find forgiveness, and or maintanin the attachments. This is just a very basic explanation, but gives you some insight into what you experienced. Energy pockets often happen in dreaming, but are not limited to our dream worlds to play out the circumstances needed to resolve, or heal the focused vibration woven around them. Because you are sensitive, and opening to your own abilities, and your husband is part of your world, the connection is shared between you. This does not always have to be so, but is by choice between you before coming into this world. These pocket energies can be sensual, spiritual, sacred, or seemingly demonic, and full of horror, to name some of the places these type of dreams can go. Again, like playing out a part in a movie. You feed the energy pockets with emotions, and fears. The old saying "what you wallow in grows" This is expecially true with astral energy. Burning a combination of white sage, lavender, and fresh mint are tools to clear the space. But the tool you have within you is to offer images of healing, light, and peace, as the astral realm deals not so much with words, {unless the words are packed with high emotions} as with pictures, and the images you have in your mind. Change the music vibration being played before sleep, and become the director of the play, not one of the players. This is done with lucid dreaming.
