I've read a lot about people who claim when they eat after taking opiates it kills their high. I don't understand this in the least, b/c when I eat after taking opiates I always get higher. Especially when I'm on methadone. My friends all seem to agree. We love to slam a couple methadone or oxys then eat a big greasy meal. Does anyone experience this as well? And what is the cause? I've always figured it was because your body speeds up your metabolism when ingesting food. Which in turn, speed up the rate at which the pills are processed. I don't know, something I've always been curious about, if anyone could shed some knowledge on me I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys. :cheers2:
I tend to feel higher on the ope after eating, but mostly because the distraction of hunger is gone. I don't like having to procure food while I'm all oxed up, so I usually eat before blowing to get it out of the way. I do not feel nice on opiates when my 'tum is empty.
i've heard that eating a mad greasy meal right before taking opiates makes it better. or something like that...
because im always afraid of wasting my supply i make it a point to not eat 2 hours before i take my opies, but never really paid attention afterwards though, i definately know that eating rite before ive taken my opies has significantly diminished my high, i learned that long time ago, but i never heard about afgter the fact, but i dont eat until my high is gone anyway, just not hungry, hope i was at least a little help...new to this site and trying to post my first question.....lol not going welll can anyone help ? good luck pinkie
I think that's only with a few opiates like oxymorphone, IME eating during oxy did seem to kill the buzz a little bit, so I rarely did it.
^ you're probably right because it did happen to me on that, and my friends, but i don't know about anything else.
I can't eat on opiates usually. sometimes I can't even take a big sip of water without puking or feeling like I'm going to puke.
puking hurts for you on opiates? they're the one class of drugs that i actually enjoy puking on the hard ones.
I love to cook and eat on Opiates.. Also did you know that after you eat an Oxy you can get a better high when you eat something like chips or fries. it works awesome. you can actually feel the difference. That sucks you guys get sick taking opiates, So why do you keep taking something that makes you sick. Sounds rather stupid to me.. I have had peyote and you get sick after that. but I don't keep eating it anyway.. To each there own..LOL
I know that some food on top of your opiates will make them absorb faster, especially if you eat them. But I never feel like eating, whether I'm high or not.

I think I already explained about my psycho food issues. People would get pissed at me when I smoked trees with them because I'd be like, "I will eat ONE M&M" but then sit there obsessing about the M&M's. I got sent home. A lot.
i think theres actually alot people like this. they get fucked up on opies, then puke. its never happened to me, but im sure the high is easily over powering the way you feel when you puke. so even if i were like that, i'd still take my drugs. i couldn't care less whether i puke or not if im fucked up
For some reason the last couple of times that I have eaten after I've taken opiates I've felt like my high diminished. I thought that maybe I was just imagining things. Maybe not after reading this...... Also - does anyone know why the greasy foods would add to an oxy high??
forget food! i just puked like 4 times in like an hour. either its the hangover from the 4 22's of ballantine i downed last night mixed with the high from the dope. either way, i've never puked this much off opiates. not that i mind. i'm fucked up.
Thats why I said to each there own. And to the other guy. look it up on google. thats where I found about the food. I knew it before I looked it up. But if you want proof. LOOK IT UP YOURSELF..
Im the same exact way. I have no urge for food whatsoever on opiates and dont even drink much because it makes me feel sick. I just leave well enough alone and have fun
