ok, so my locks are at the stage where the tips will fold back on themselves and get matted in. i am having a such a dilemma trying to decide whether i should let them be and have a bunch of odd length locks or whether i should pull them straight when i see them start to loop. i will lose about 5 inches of length if i choose to neglect...advice please!
Hahaha, I thought this was about you/someone sucking on tips! Anyways. I would leave them be. It will end up taking up lots of energy and time to make the loopy ones straight, and they'll probably do what they want even if you monitor them. I hear the odd palmroll is supposed to be good for squeezing some length out. I don't know for certain though.
Yeeeea let 'em be not all of them will do it, so you'll have a few that havent done anything I've got one going loopy atm, it changes everyday and its moving back up on itsself xD its so cool to watch them progress
well the loss of length comes from the 5 inches of unlocked tip folding on itself (so maybe it's more like 2.5 inch loss). i'll have to see if i can get some pics.
well, the tips on my dreads are doing the same thing and i'm just leaving them alone. cuz i really like it cuz as its happening my tips are getting fatter and more blunted.
me? neglect? not really. i started with backcoming and i palmroll once in a blue moon, i also crochet sometimes.
i think you should let a few of them, but not all.. just leave them be and see if they all do it. variety is fun.
