My New Friend Indica

Greetings All,

So, one of my dealers sends me a text the other day. It was odd because I don't normally hear from this one, I usually have to chase him down. Not to mention the fact that I just bought an ouce from him like a week ago. Anyway, he says he can sell me an ounce for $250.00, keep in mind I normally pay anywhere from $350.00 to $400.00 for an ounce. I have paid as much as $450.00 but that was name brand quality. So, I am like, what kind of weed is it. He says it pretty decent but not the best. Quality Hydro. So, I am like fine, ill take an ounce. I could not beat the price. However, I now have like two ounces of weed and I have never had that much in my personally posetion ever.

So, I get this stuff. It looks good, no seeds and look like quality hydro, dark green with orange hairs and smells great. So, I smoke a little, it's smooth and nice but I was not getting any effects right away. I smoked a little more and realized I was not getting any of my normal tells that the weeds is working. I get the third eye, I feel it more in my head and face normally. Then I realize that I am getting more of a body buzz, and after a while it hits me like a truck. The high was longer and deeper and with a real body buzz feel to it. So, I hold it up to some of the weed I just got from him. It is very clear that they are different kinds of weed. So, I asked him a little more about it. Turns out he got like two pounds of this stuff from some asian guys. So, I put two and two together and figured out that it was an Indica and not a Sativa.

So, now i'm all excited because I have never had the Indica before. I love to try new weeds and I am working on an identification system like they use for wine. I plan on becoming an athority of weed as best as I possibly can.

So, because this is such a body buzz, I thought I would even it out. So, I grond up a little of the Sativa I already had and mixed it with my current Indica. The blend was great. The first night I tried it, it knocked me out. I went to bed like two hours sooner than I normally would and I slept like a log. I gave some to my buddy and he had the same reaction. So, anyway I just wanted to say how much I like mixing my weeds and trying out different combinations.

Needless to say, I am happy with my purchase and now I know just how uneducated my dealer is regarding weed. So, what he thought was an ok weed turns out to be a good weed but just a different high. He shoots, he scores.

there's no way you're a pot smoker and havent had indica bud before... srsly 95% of bud that goes around is indica dominant.

 

Perhaps you should make one day this weekend a do nothing day, smoke some J's to the face, and vegitate on the couch with some Indica and some video games?

What???? How can you never have had indica? Most pot = indica

sativa is quite rare ime and by all interwebs accounts. unless your specific dealer leans towards sativa and youve only ever used him

i like sativa much more . . . more headfuck and less couchlock = whats not to like

 

I like me a good indica from time to time, but sativa is more my thing.

 

Indica's dont take as long to grow. so dealers can make more money.

 

Sativas are good until you get them lots

I stopped getting real high from sativa a while ago

@ the OP similar situation here just picked up a quarter bag of indoor indica to go along with the last gino of sativa i have. The blend is wonderful and it feels good to get really high off a nice indica again

I would have to disagree with you. Based upon the information that I have about the different kinds of weed and strains that most of the stuff I see is Sativa. This is the first time I have identified what I got to be an Indica. Have a nice day and thank you for your imput.

 

After reading the posts, I have to agree. I also prefer a sativa and I also like the head high. The body buzz is nice and I enjoy it, but I just don't feel as high. I may have smoked Indica before but this is the first time I have been able to figure it out. I don't consider myself a noob but more of a person who is still learning. I planing on still learning about weed for a very long time. Unfortunatly, I don't smoke all day like some of you guys. Being older I tend to take things as they come to me. When I have learned all that there is to learn then I will either write a book or post a compresensive account of weed and all that is good about it.

I plan on blending a good amount of this weed and I also plan on being baked beyond all that is holy on Monday for the 4/20 holiday. After that I may take a little break.

I would love to hear more Indica vs. Sativa information and or accounts.

and again, you've probably smoked indica varieties before (most are HYBRIDS, its common to cross breed indicas for their quick growing potential)

 

Yeah a lot of strains are at least 20 or 30% indica to shorten grow time, fatten yield, and usually shorten the plant too if height is a problem.

I like Sativas when I need to be productive, and Indicas when I'm just chillin out. Most of what I get from my dealer is indica dominant or straight indica. That makes getting a powerful sativa once in awhile AMAZING.

 

I often tell my dealer that I want an ounce or whatever and he brings it over. I usually check it out before I buy. It looked good so I paid for it. All of the weed I get for the most part is mystery weed. I could buy from the same dealer one week to the next and I would never get the same stuff twice. I can tell the difference. I am a chef and I know flavor, taste, aroma, color and then I smoke it and judge the high. Unfortunaly I am at the mercy of my dealer as I have not found one that I trust to get me what I ask for. If I ask for name brand, I don't think I am getting what I am paying for so I tend to just get what they have in stock. If he were to tell me it was one thing or another I would just think he is charging me more for it and calling it something it's not. I wish I had a dealer that had a variety and could offer me what I was looking for but for now I just go with the flow. I have not been disapointed very often but there have been times and I have either said that the last stuff was crap and I wanted better or I just buy from another dealer. I have three people I buy from on a regular basis in order to keep up the contacts.

I understand your comment about the Hybrids. As I understand most Indicas grow fast but tall. I will learn more as I get into the next stage of my marijuana development and start to grow on my own. Then I will really get into the different kinds of stains and really get into my own hybrids.

The reason I am on these forums is to learn. I want to know all things pot but there is so much conflicting information. So I have to take what I learn with a grain of salt and judge for myself as best as I can.

 

what the hell? if you're asking him for strains and hes bringing everyone to you thats bullshit right there. You can't just go out and get white widow or some ak47 (legit shit) without having some rock solid connections. i think hes been shittin you.

Yeah, well. It does suck like that. I also think it has to do with the fact that I don't travel in the weed circle and I am a much older person. I can't wait to find a dealer that I can get White Widow or some Sour D. I have never had them. I look forward to that day. Even if that person has to be me growing my own.

Regarding the forums. Two things for me. When I am at home I tend to do other things so I don't tend to be on a lot. I tend to be on Hip when I need a distraction at work. When I am busy, I work, when I am not I am on here. I can't access those other forums due to the blocker on our internet access so this is the only weed forum I can get on. So, there it is. When the time comes for me to learn more about weed I will expand my knowledge at home on my own computer.

 

Indica grows fast n short. Not tall. If you have dank sativa you could make bank off connossieurs who want it cause straight up sativas or even sativa dominant dank is hardly ever available around here. Actually just yesterday my friend got some really nice sativa stuff that I'm bout to stock up on

 

Well, then I guess I don't know the difference as much as I thought I did. There goes the whole internet misinformation thing. As much as I want to get into what the differences are I still feel I have a clue. I would say for the most part what I get are Sativas. I have been getting a crap shoot for the most part but when I get what I get I still feel that they tend to react more like what I understad a Sativa to be. I guess that this time I just got some straight up Indica and I could really tell the difference.
