imo.. at this time he can back off the nutes till he recovers from the colds. light wateriing every 3 days, .. check in 2. bring temps up, Mj isnt a swamp plant it dont like deep damp cold roots.. hydro farms are different, but still vulnurable to cold temps on equipments.. In essence you have to feel the climate with the grow..
Hydro worse for the cold i'd say especially if ya have a water heater or pump go down on ya. Here ya go my seeding are 3 weeks old now and i only water twice a week and have just gave first weak feeding of nitrogen based and a spot of liquid seaweed. Third picture down from block of four looks good still a bit curled down on tips but see the way the crown leafs are point upwards? Thats what ya looking for all over ya plants.
Orison! you're such a nut! would you like to sleep in a closed box breathing yer own exhaled air=>O Plants need fresh air too! 70's is a wonderful temp for the little un's, mine get down to 40-50F's at night. As for humidity, 45-55% is recommended. Some parts of the world are dryer than others; when we lived on the Pacific coast in the fog, mold was big problem with an average 80% RH. Now that we're at 1500ft altitude in the Sierras haven't had a mold prob. even when the humidity reaches 80%........?>P Rock, yer right dirt is a better insulation than hydro materials, but 70F need to worry about temps?>) Duckyx, 85F is considered to be the optimum temp for growing, so ya might consider reducing the air flow to raise the temps a bit, yer lights should give off enough heat if air is slower to recycle, this will also raise humidity. I've tried many different sizes and types of fans in my rooms to get a balanced atmosphere, but that comes with experience. MJ is very forgiving, great for beginning gardeners, yours look well within tolerances, keep up the good work:>)
hehehe. Im just saying it might me too cold. Not that air is a bad thing. While I have a 8'' desk fans in the GR's. Its way to cold at night for them to be churning out wind when the hids go's out.. but the fact that its forgiving is fer sure. If you had seen my babies a few months ago, dealing with the deep freeze to today blooms.. whooo hooo.. yould be singing Don Henlys' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLgUuHl2xJo .. nuts am I.. and I think its about Forgivness..
the plants seem fine, nice and perky. but only one, that doesnt like to perk up, Its always droopy. but the temps are now higher as the weather out side is getting better, and warmer. so now they are in the 80s. I can just feel the warmth in the 80s in there. so I need to get a fan going. I also found a big enough piece of plywood for the back, Its cut to fit and its all fitted and attached now i have a real back to this grow cab. Hooked up a PVC elbo to my PC fan and Rigged it so its sucking out and It will be blowing threw a DIY carbon filter.
80-85f yep plants will grow like stink but i always find i get the extra male or two if i keep seedling at that temp due to heat stress i think so i aim for 75f for first 6-8 weeks just to be safe.
Ori, glad you're forgiving, I'm an old fert anyway!>O Everyone must deal with their environment the best they may, we can only assist, and inject a little humor, occasionally:>D
all 4, the one in the front always seems droopy. Sense birth. Exhaust fan, I have a home made carbon filter type deal on the back. plastic screw tub, fits over the fan. cut the bottom out, zip tied, a fish activated carbon filer, and a fabreze activated carbon fan type thing, says it elmitnats the odours for 4 months. so far, i think its working i think iv noticed but sense its in my room. lol. my favourit. like all i have toped. then on one of the tops on each plant I fimed, but only one i cut right. One large main cola and 4 mini colas. popping up. then off the main, there is multiple poping off.
New update, Started my 12/12 on friday, to eliminate 2 of them So far one is showing hairs. and Im so happy its my fav one lol. The hairs are on the one in the green .
They look ok, but they are choking eachother, Thats why they have the droopy look.. Either some are drawing more water than others or the roots are tangled and fighting for space.. Oh,, I notice thats a wind burn.. That leaf exposed to the high wind on the fan will cause damage.. not much you can do though,, I have that happen sometimes.. At least the tops have lift.. all I can say for now. Color looks good :cheers2:
There looking better ya on the rite track i'd say and just need to stick with it. Would.nt worry about the topping to much as long as you remove or damage the growing head there get the message and bush out for ya.
you have lost me with only flowering 2.. but its ok, whats happening to the others.. Im lost.. heheh.. OH hai Rock.. :seeya:
No most likley not, CFLs dont run very hot anyway. maby if they were touching it might do some damage. I was gonna say your gonna need more lights once they get bigger but you got more (may still need even more) Whats the diff from daytime cfls and the others? They look good! oh yeah and i love the speaker box idea. also dude you should look into LST you might wanna do that if your keeping all 6 in there.
and yeah, why get rid of some? id try to flower em all. Might be to late for the LST method, now that i look theyre probably to big by now. I wish i could grow like that (need my own place) one day....
