While I'm mostly made of Italian genes, there is a section of my blood that's Cherokee. I LOVE my Italian traditions and of course, the food, but really, my Native American culture is extremely important to me. The legends are fascinating and the simplistic language is as well. I've always been very spiritually open and aware of the earth rather than a devout catholic like many members of my family are and I chalk that up to my heritage bringing out those interests in me. How many of you are part native?? Let's have a pow wow
pow wow is something started by the white man , powow is not what it orginaly used to be , it is now a more of a white man thing it used to be a tyme of celebration and honor
You're the second person on here with a "slight chance" of a relation. I can't remember who it was, but someone else on here said they were related to George Washington and I am as well. I just keep running into distant family on here
Halfbreed here. I'm English, Irish, Scottish, Ojibwa and Shawnee. Or Skyerish Ojibnee, if you prefer. I was born 'n' raised in Onterrible and moved out west last year for uni. Here in Canada, having status can help you cover the cost of post-secondary education if you choose to pursue it. Is there a similar program set up in the U.S.?
Cherokee , My daddys mama , and his father both , so I have enough of the bloodline in me that the govt gave us some land back..........
wow i'm Italian and Cherokee too. I also have a little bit of Sioux in me too. I feel like i'm more in touch with my native american side though. although i made good italian food
Black, German, and Tunica-Biloxi/Choctaw-Apache (grandmother was of mix native american tribes) they actually have a pow-wow ground in Ebarb, Louisiana.
Mostly Scots-Irish and Chickasaw. My great grandmother is listed on the Dawes Rolls from when the government made them sell their lands and relocate to Oklahoma.
Does peoples heritage actually make any difference ? Does the fact that somebody is part this or that make them "special" Me thinks not.
