    The World Turns
    By Gig

Spring comes blooming from the ground
    Babies born their faces round
Seeds are planted in the mound
Day begins as dawn is found
Life moves on, the world turns around.

Summer grows the world turns green
    Children walk their smiles seen
    flowers open their colors glean
Noontime comes and the sun does sheen
Life moves on, the world turns around

Autumn comes, its called the fall
Adults go to work building the wall
Harvesttime looms the plants grow tall
Eventide arrives as the sun does crawl
Life moves on, the world turns around.

Winter brings the ice and snow
The elderly stoop and walk so slow
The ground is frozen as north winds blow
Nighttime stars o'er the horizon are low
Life stops, death rules, the world turns round.

spring is rebirth. summer is abundance. autumn is reward. winter takes the kill.

Thank you. I wrote this particluar poem as my own personal memorial to those who gave their lives in tragedies in the last ten years or so, so that I would not forget their sacrifices. Just FYI, I write all of my poetry for myself. If someone else enjoys them, or gets meaning from them, then so much the better. :)
