Right on pr0ne! The more people growing the better, imo. Spread the love! I grew out 4 of those tubs and ended up with a pound of dry mushies after one flush with each that I processed to powder. Unfortunately, due to a visit by the parents I only had time to complete one flush then I had to dispose of my substrate blocks.

A lot of people don't like the taste of mushrooms so I like to make it easier for my friends to trip. I bought a candy mold that holds a dozen candies per mold. Get 100 of those small hershey's kisses and put in a double boiler until fully melted. let it cool a bit and keep it smooth and liquid then stir in 20 grams of powder then put in the molds and freeze em. a few hours later you have some dynamite chocolates. If you mix it consistently you will have each chocolate weigh out to 1.66667 grams of shrooms in each one. That's a pretty good number for one dose i think, for me anyway. if that doesn't do it then just eat another one! lol. That's just how I like to do my mushies.

 

So sad, my friends mom found a tub under his bed. Threw everything away but he went and salvaged as much as he could. He called me up and we tripped off everything that was left. What a fun night, we were sitting in his village and there are these parking lot lights that were bothering us with the light pollution. We really wanted to enjoy the moon more. So we cut the wires to all the lights and had a great time.

If that is fresh, then he picked it too early. I have seen them WAY bigger.

 

That is impressive, being all PEs. Im having trouble with contams, only on the PE jars though, I dont know why. The PC and B+ are fine but the PEs are getting contams and its reallly pissing me off.

 

Contams are the fucking worst man. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that though. When i was first learning this stuff I had so many contams and I was dumb about the disposal and accidently breathed in a bunch of the trichs in the air after shaking and opening a contaminated jar. That scene still gives me nightmares. Mycology is an awesome hobby though! Keep at it. I actually didn't have any contams when I grew those ones out in the pictures i posted. infact, after the rye was fully colonized I put it n my fridge for over a month then moved to another state and fruited them in the new state.

 

So many people form New Jersey, shit. Shroomies bring us together, ha.

Size of the shroom can depend on a lot of things, you can see it was def. full grown cause the cap is really breakin away from the stem which usually isn't even too noticable in PE. it all varies man. thats as big as they were gettin, the longer they sat there they woulda just been losing potency.

i'm a biochemist, but my education focused mostly on animals and bacteria, with a little on plants, and almost nothing on fungi - except yeast which are not mushrooms. so naturally i'm curious about them...

and i like the precision of your chocolate method. the only thing to make it sweeter would if the dose was 1.75 g (half eighth). but i realize you might not need that much of penis envy and that 3.3 grams could easily be more potent than a average eighth of shrooms.

 

pretty ballsy thing to do, especially while tripping. i wouldn't wanna get busted and in trouble...
but that's funny as hell and i'm glad it worked out well (ha a rhyme) and to be fair, the moon is way nicer to look at than a fluorescent light.

 

I just don't know why the PE is getting contams and the others aren't. I didn't do anything wrong

If there's a contam then something went wrong. Not saying you did something wrong, those things just happen. I haven't ever read that PE is more susceptable to contamination though. That doesn't mean it's not though. I just don't know what to tell ya. You can post at www.shroomery.org and ask those experts. While you're there you can check out my grow logs in my journal. I use the same name over there.

 

I just think its kind of strange, how 2 PE jars got contaminated and the PC and B+ didnt, and never has.

 

Probably safe to say the syringe would be the cause.
