Why is all your 'evidence' from the National Right to Life Committee? Very scientific... www.nrlc.org
If you'd bother to look at the links, you'd see that most of them are copies of journal articles published by the AMA.
You are absolutely right Huck. I am sure that you know more about the judicial system and the constitutionality of law than do federal courts all over the country. In fact, let's do away with the need for law schools too since you obviously know more than lawyers, too. Oh and the NRLC couldn't possibly have any reason to skew their numbers to support its cause either. Damn, I thought I had learned my lesson before about dealing with you. I keep forgetting that fanatical religious beliefs always trump reason.
Commas indicate a pause, not an end of a thought, or sentence. (that is what periods are for Megara, please stop trying to pull words out of my sentences, I am getting tired of how you respond to things and dont really want to have to keep turning on and off the ignore button.) By comparison, for what I was trying to say, in a simple analogy was, why , when I live in the Midwest in a landlocked country, would I make my first priority in voting the restrictions on international fishing agreements. If a father lost his child to an abortion his beef should be with the wife who decided, not with the law. If you are against abortions, do not do it. But once again I really did not want to get into the abortion issue I was making the point about our priorities in voting and trying to understand others methods. I am totally against abortions, if I were a woman I would not consider it unless I was under the extreme duress and traumatic nature of being raped and if so I would hope I would deal with it before I came too far along. But that is not high on my list of priorities for choosing a president. Why would I choose a man who is poor in every other respect just to ensure that my highest priority issue item is satiated? I am not saying that this is what Huck is doing but I do know many other individuals who do think like that. Duh. (to end on a lighter note)
"It just strikes me as odd that one of your number one voting reasons is to change laws that are already in place, for a body and child birthing you will never experience, being male, and, since you are against it, you or your wife will probably never have an abortion." There is NOTHING after your comma which changes what i copy/pasted. But, nice trying to make it look like i nitpicked. This is a silly analogy. Do you honestly think the role of men in pregnancy is absolutely zero? That it does not affect them at all? The law facilitates her abortion. I agree that his beef should be with both, though. As i said above, many people see abortion as murder. Who wants to tolerate murder? Thats why its an important issue to so many people.
Health care, social security, taxes, military, marriage, guns, energy, economy, education, and just plain moral values and leadership.
what health care? and social security is going to be put in the stock market under him..and it's plummeting, our economy is real low, leadership..hmmm
An unfunded mandate for education that leaves it up to the local district to pay for much of NCLB, tax breaks for the richest among us, an economy that lost jobs for the 1st time in 75 years, energy policy that brought us Enron and secret meetings, moral leadership that tells us that if you disagree--you are wrong, the death of the assault weapons ban during a war, and leadership that caused to Bush to freeze on 9/11. Is this a joke?
** I think that whatever they say most of those that claim only to be voting right wing because of some other (mostly religiously based issue), are either fooling themselves or trying to pull the wool over other peoples eyes. I think it is becoming increasingly obvious that they have a conservative and religious agenda that is hostile to most progressive (liberal) ideas and policies. I get the feeling that if it weren’t abortion it would be gay rights and it not that pray in schools or religious schooling and it wasn’t that it would be the teaching of evolutionary theory. In other words there would always be that ‘one’ excuse for voting right wing. ** Whoever wins today I think this religiously based fundamentalist force will be trying to push their agenda and only if the more progressive forces in the US realise this will they be able to counteract their influence. **
I'm still undecided...but if I vote for Bush, it'll be solely because I feel that under him there will be less chance of a draft than with Kerry. He has said several times that there wouldn't be one. I know that he could be lying (again) but still, Kerry hasn't said ANYTHING about the issue as far as I know, and he also wants more troops.
Kerry says there will be no draft under him too, I have done a lot of research, and I have come to conclude that Kerry is the man for the job..if you read what bush's plans are, I don't see how he can avoid a draft..with alot of people dying, the reason for more troops is to get the job done, because it's not getting it done fast at this rate..he's calling for more of our troops that are already enlisted..and the sooner we get it rebuilt the faster..I don't want to keep going to other wars and I'm certain under Bush we will be going to Iran next for war! If you are sick of everything that has happened the last four years, Bush has nothing to lose this go around, and Kerry has everything to lose, if you want a change VOTE FOR JOHN KERRY! If you like the last four years vote for bush..but i want a change and i want to go with someone who can offer me hope rather than scare tactics to scare me..that's why i voted for JOHN KERRY
Why don't you try actually discussing facts, instead of hurling childish and contentless retorts? No. He wants to allow people to choose to invest part of their social security withholdings in private retirement funds. Nobody would have to do so, but I would if I had the chance. I have many years until retirement, and a more aggressive (though risky) investment strategy makes sense for me.
i am really glad you have chosen who you are voting for...but as i see it the no child left behind act has really done nothing...i work in education and see how it has affected north carolina. the partriot act has robbed u.s citizens some of our basic rights of privacy and freedoms of the first ammendment, and the economy is worse than ever since he has been in office. we had a surplus when clinton was in office. since bush has been we have a huge deficit. as for a tax relief for corporations...what about the people...you know the little guy who is struggling? and prayer is good and what is great about this country is we have freedom of religion...if you are muslim, buddhist, catholic, pagan or whatever. you can worship as you please...however i see that the government is trying to force christianity on people. what happen to church and state? this is just how i see it. i am not trying to offend anybody. if you see things differently. please do explain i am open to other's ideas. peace and love.
you sir, are a moron, Patriot act kills your right to privacy, no child left behind ahs failed misrably, he doesnt pray he was addicted to alchohol and cocaine for many man many years.
I have discussed facts with you and you have said that your answer is superior to the one given in federal courts. And I stand by my statement that fanatical religious beliefs always trump reason in the eyes of the "believers."
i bow to you sir in gesture of agreement. this guy does not know the facts tax man. i dig it and peace to you
