Noob with a few questions...

Please don't get mad, if I asked something wrong, or flame me.

I am a noob to the scene, I have smoked some cheap stuff with a few guys I have went to school with, it made me WAY overly paranoid, sweating, panic feeling.... I was flipping out, I just threw a blanket over my head, and went to sleep.

Then I smoked some HQ stuff with a few of my friends who are in the business, ooh boy... my face was numb, feet tingled, kept laughing about pretty much nothing at all, I felt really good, chill, calm, best of all no paranoia.


So, how can I tell if I get good stuff or bad?

from what a stoner friend told me... "the hard tight clumping stuff it no good" "the loose stuff with no seeds or stims is bomb"

So what is the deal?

Should I get a vaporizer? if so what one? thanks. (price limit 200$)

On the vapo question, I say go for it. You can get a great one for about $150 and you get a whole lot more out of the bud. Bonus, if you live with parents or you don't want your place stinkin up, vapos don't produce as much smell. And they are a healthier way of going about it.
As for quality. I'm not a big expert on telling quality, but color should tip you off. I go for what my friends and I call Irish Ass. Bright emerald color with red hairs and crystals.
The type of weed will influence the paranoia level. But it also has to do with you. I'm a paranoid smoker no matter how dank my weed. And some people never have paranoia.

 

Vaporizers are the best. Go get a nice one for about 150$.as far as the weed goes,when you see some weed with crystals and hairs on them, it's pretty good. Anything with alot of stems and seeds is schwagg usually.don't get that unless you making brownies.

 

The stuff that is clumped together if often awesome dank that's really sticky as long as it's not totally dried out.

 

That is... odd. Generally, if your gonna freak out, like have a panic attack, its because your really fucked up. And obviously, you get more fucked up on higher quality than lower quality. I think you not freaking out had nothing to do with smoking a different quality, it was probably just because you sort of knew what to expect.

The signs of better quality pot is that its expensive (although if you don't know your connection well, they could just be ripping you off) if it has a really strong smell (pot smokers learn to love that smell), if when you squeeze it, its really sticky, and not too dry and brittle, also, if you look at it, better quality will normally have red stringy things, and alot of crystals on it, also, the weed in the bag will be more big chunks (buds) as aposed to loosened and crumbed apart. Oh, and if you looking for the difference between high quality and REALLY high quality, than also look for the presence of seeds. Look and see if theres any in the bottom of the bag, or any tucked into the bud. When theres no seeds that means the plant wasn't fertilized by a male, and therefore devoted all its energy to THC making, and not seed making.

 

I plan on only smoking friday nights only.

agreed, I have never been high before this point, I think I was 19 at the time.

If you gonna buy one, but a good one. A $150 vaporizer certainly isn't going to be high end, while a $150 bong will be pretty high end. Check out the volcano, its like the rolls royce of vaporizers as far as quality goes...and price. But honestly, i prefer to just smoke out of my glass pipe or bubbler. Theres just something about actually smoking weed that I like, and being able to go outside at night with my bubbler, light it up and watch the weed glow.

 

yeah, don't get the flat dry stuff, go for the dense "wet" stuff. seeds and stems are no good as well.

 

Around here if you are lookin for "wet" weed you are searching for bud that's been soaked in formaldehyde

 

Not wet, sticky, smell it, taste it if you need to ahah.

From what I gathered, the forced air is nice, because you don't have to suck and suck, and you can pop a bag on it.

The whip kind... some people like it more, because some say you get a better taste..

so... now I am at a stand still, I wall be waiting to see what kind you like more. thanks!
