    Hey grrls,

I used to be on Diane-35, and have recently switched back to Marvalon. I've been on Marvalon for 6 days now, and my breasts are really feeling heavy and sore. Is this common? This didn't happen when I went from Marvelon to Diane, but my gyne said that Diane is a lower dose of *something* (I forget what).. so since Marvelon is a higher *whatever* than Diane, could that be why my breasts are sore and heavy? It's really unpleasant. Any imput??

this is why you have a doctor prescribe this stuff to you. Go ask your doc, they'll know more about it, maybe make you switch your pill again if it's really bugging ya

errr I just started back up on the pill and this morning I noticed my breasts and stomach are getting swollen. I am on yasmin which is super low on both estrogen and progesteren and is the best one I've tried.

yasmine is my pill of choice, like lynsey said... super low dose.
i'm no doctor, but from what i know, i'd agree with what the other ladies said; the hormone levels are probably too high.

Hey interval: yeah I think that's what I'm talking about. The doctor warned me I might be a little mood swingy because of the difference in hormone levels - so I guess this is part of those horomones too. I'll wait it out... I really liked this brand when I was on it before, it's really good for controling the cysts that I get. As for Diane, it's a different brand of bc, although it's not really used for bc, it's more for acne, which is why i was on it. But because it hasn't been fully approved as a bc (or at least it hasn't here) you're only supposed to be on it for a year. So my year was up, and I opted to go back on Marvelon, because of the cyst control. *sigh* Ain't it great to be female??? LOL

Anyway, I'm sure you ladies are right about the hormone thing... I'll wait it out, see what happens. If it gets to be too much, I'll ask to switch to something else. Thanks :)

good luck! i hope the mood swings and other side effects calm down. maybe it'll just take a little bit for you to re-adjust? either way, i hope you're feeling better soon.

sore breasts are normal, but if your stomach is swollen... I'd see a doctor about that! [IMG]

No swollen tummy, at least I haven't noticed anything. My breasts just feel like they do before I get my period - heavy and sore. I'm trying to remember from waaaay back when I went on Marvelon the first time... I can't really remember if this happened, but that was 7 years ago - I barely remember what I had for breakfast lol If it hasn't changed by the time I start the next pack of pills (three weeks - I'm on continuous birth control) then I'll go back and see the dr.
