I'm really at a loss as to where to ask this. It seems people here have lots of useful info here.

Does anyone have any good information regarding acquiring land in Alberta? Some folk and I are looking for a plot that is mostly treed but also suitable for free range livestock. Right on the edge of road access would be ideal. No utilities needed. A good listing of for sale by owner rural plots would be nice. But the real gem would be the magical trick to getting green land. It seems to me that nowadays if your not an oil/gas/logging company those areas are completely off limits. Certainly would need an accessible aquifer underneath that hasn't yet been spoiled by and oil or gas well.

I'm peering toward the west, nordegg area. At least west of Rocky Mountain House. Certainly foothills.

As much as I hate what's happened to this area being currently occupied by the alberta and canadian government, it is my home. I shan't yield just because of it. Fighting maybe won't solve anything, but running away certainly won't.
