usually reserved for asians but lately it's for anyone that's happier than me, which is everyone. last saturday i went to a dark rave in toronto for my brothers birthday, i spent a fuck load on booze because the bar is fucking retarded expensive and everyone in the club was on drugs fucking scene kids everywhere. kandi kids and shit "happy rave!" "plur" fuck you! you goddamned freaks! i had my docs on and nearly got into 2 fights i think i need to find a mountain to medetate
yeah you need some hippie majicking or something... i would hook you up but really, after driving this far i realize how very far texas is from canada. but yeah i'd love to kill me a few kandi kids too. plur my foot in between your fucking falls.
I did read it fully. You didn't understand my reaction. Of course it's taken over by fashion and are the kids consuming at full might. That's what most kids are doing, so most kids in this scene as well. I just tried to point out that this is the same in every subculture (sooner or later). That a hippie can not be a raver is just something you have decided for yourself. Maybe you can't be both, but someone else can fit in both cultures fine. You're never one thing anyway and a subculture/scene isn't you. It's just a group thing someone can belong/classified in. You think someone can't belong in two opposites subcultures? Tsk.. Dark lyrics create monsters?
I like how you left out the part where I said I went for electronic music... funny emission to make idiot. You truly are horrid at this. How does liking a certain type of music make me a hypocrite I dont go all kandi kid out like they do I do not play into that and I label myself as nothing no where in that post or any other. Some people surely cannot handle the fallacies of their own logic, this would be you. Keep trying to come at me really your just mad that I pointed out just how stupid you are. Its ok, well actually its really not. Asmodean would you really not understand that dark suggestive lyrics can lead some weak minded people down the wrong path... That in and of itself is completely ignorant. Sure in most cases it does not, but I bet if you look at the statistics there are more people into dark music creating violent crime then these scene kids you so well hate. Of course there are probably more into gangsta rap creating violent crime then metal kids, but I was using an example not saying that everyone who listens to metal is a violent criminal. I myself happen to enjoy metal.
They've already got issues and things to work out - the music doesn't create monsters. It could influence them quite easily but music's just the fall guy.
^ I also agree with that jai however I do believe if your listening to something like that and you have problems it spawns appropriate situations in your mind for that.
The hypocrisy was not from what music you listen to, but from your attendance at raves which you previously abhorred to be fair here is the whole statement concerning Funkateers rave attendance Im guessing your in your young 30's or late 20's. That means you have been frequenting raves for at least 15 or so years. You mean to tell me that you completely disassociate yourself from those you are surrounded by? Do you think you are better than than the people your raving with? but to add a little more support to my accusation of hypocrisy there's this: this here is assuming that my actions were unjust, fair enough now we are starting to see a judgement of another "clique" which is at odds with the accusations of me being unjust for not liking (or appearing not to like) another group of people more negativity concerning others which further discredits the unjust argument (which I am not really) Now we have completely made the transition from me being unjust to a group of people, and you taking the moral high ground and saying that I should not have done so to you incrementally judging another group until you eventually condemn it tsk tsk, the hypocrisy
I condemned no group I simply showed you how every group is pretty much the same on the inside. They pretty much act similarly they each have their consumerist quirk. I also showed you how you play into, and why I thought some cultures had more bad points than others. Never did I say I am condemning this culture. I simply said these are some points of cultures I've noticed and this is how your name relates to them. I threw in points of a few other cultures for reference on how some are worse then others. (metal and gangsta rap) I also said this was not in all cases just some. I even gave you an idea that I did enjoy some of these cultural activities. However I listed points that I did not like about them, like you, but I gave a real factual basis on why I did not like these parts of the culture.
LOL. Yes the 90's did have many scenes on the go. The late 90s however was a bit of a deadwater....their were remnants of the early to mid 90s stuff flyin about....But not much new emerging.... Bear in mind as well I'm from the UK, which never really used to have such defined 'sects' as American schools seemed to.....although that sort of super specific labelling seems to be increasing...... People who were part of things were generally a few years older than me, and at my school you were either trendies or freaks and that was it. ....All I'm saying is yea....maybe scene and emo etc is annoying to our values.....it doesn't resonate with who I am personally,....but let people be who they want to be! Punk doesn't resonate with me. Neither does Goth. Or the values of the typical metalhead. But each to their own, and I have a lot of friends out their from hippies, to metallers to emos and even to chavs! And I wouldn't ever diss anyone for not being a Hippy. In fact most metalheads think Hippy types are just total wet lettuces with no grip on reality....we might disagree, but people are entitled to an opinion. Every 'scene' that emerges is preceded by another and 9 times out of 10, the ones that came before think the new one's a load of crap. And in saying they are the popular ones....and its all about fashions bla bla bla.....well thats the same for everything.....ever subculture that ever emerged has its own little dress code, way of thinking, way of acting etc.....and every one of them looks down its nose at anyone who thinks differently. And the other fact is that every 'scene' in the world is made up of a mixture of wankers and decent folk.....By being up your own arse about the culture someone chooses to follow, you can miss out on befriending some real gems. It makes me laugh how the very people who support freedom and peoples rights to be whatever they want to be at a particular time in their lives, look down their nose at anyone who chooses a different path from their own.
