Consider the amount of energy required to provide safe, potable water from it's source and then the cost of removing the used product, clarifying it and re-using thru the same sanitary system. It requires approximately 6 watts of power to provide 1 gallon of treated water thru a fixture. Approximatelly 78% of this water is classified as grey water that could be used for purposes other than drinking. Think of the savings in terms of energy not spent and pollution not created.
