I studied countryside managment and will do a degree in wildlife conservation soon, and I currently working as a seasonal ranger. I was wondering if anyone else on here is an active conservation worker?
I worked with a nature preserve commission, it was bs.. basically we tried to eradicate invasive species(which is usually a losing battle, although a well intentioned one) really they could use their funding better, they spent a LOT of money on gas, and vehicle maintenance which I think is crazy, id rather pick one site, camp there all week and work the 40 hours of whatever without travelling everyday, back and forth, its a waste, and you end up eating on the road which isnt very healthy or economical... it was seasonal, but id like to do something along those lines, but i dont enjoy working for the gov't...so goodluck, its REALLY nice to spend all your time outside like that=)
