pretty sure you have to specifically test for it. same with oxycodone. they wouldn't come up on a generic drug test. i know morphine and heroin (turns into morphine) would show up, not sure of any others. dont take my word for it though...i heard this awhile ago. do your research.
hydrocodone and oxycodone will come up on a typical 12-panel drug test that is used in lab testing because oxycodone is excreted as morphine which i believe is the same way heroin is excreted so they will think you are a heroin user if it comes back positive. Usually takes oxycodone about two-three days to clear out of your system. If its a home test (one of those piss dipsticks) you can get away with taking about 20mg-30mg/day and still piss negative. Depends on the cutoff level of the test tho...the ones i used had a cutoff level of 300 micrograms/mL for morphine.
well heres the thing ive been dropping twice a week for up until a month ago (down 2 once a week) and im a regular oxy user, never failed ANY test except for aderall (amphetamine) and as im aware, oxy turns into thebaine not morphine in the brain so its iffy??? idk all my buddy could get today are norcos, why does every one get oxy scripts filled on a tuesday lol? EDIT: My drug tests are only 5 panel, lab screened
5 panel test dosen't show up oxy or hydrocodone.I've taken 2 tests in the last year for my job. been on both 80mg of each a day. Infact took 80mgs of oxy 5 hours before my test, and passed with flying colars. Your good to go
oxyrisin beat me to it. I took a lotta oxy (dont remember the exact dose) the day before and the day of the test (to the point I had to pull over and barf on the way) and it was a lab test and I passed. You are fine. Just dont do any smack.
I don't know about that, guys. A friend of mine that was living in the sober house (well, the almost-sober house) was doing hydrocodone and they tested her and it came back positive for opiates (it was a 5 panel test). Unless she was totally lying to me and doing shit besides the hydrocodone. I guess if everyone here has done it and passed then you're good, but I'd wait a couple days between last dose and the test if you can just to be on the safe side.
I agree with this,I do UA'S twice a month and I have a script for hydro,EVERY test I do tests possitive for opiates...
maybe peoples bodies convert it dif. Either way, i would wait a few days to take it, well no i wouldnt cuz i didnt lol both with vics and oxys and passed. But if your worried, err on the safe side and dont pop vics before a test.
5 Panel dosen't test for hydrocodone or oxy PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will say, that if they suspect you, they can add it to the test. but it costs more and they don't do it.. They will do a 7,10, or 12 panel to test you. Like my doctor does.He does a 12 panel that tests for everything What is your test for!!! The SAMHSA-5 # Federal government guidelines (by SAMHSA-the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) require that companies which use commercial class drivers licenses for employees must have a testing system in place. Among other things, this required testing program must test for 5 specific categories of drugs (referred to as the "SAMHSA 5", previously called the "NIDA-5"). Because of this federal requirement, most drug testing companies offer a basic drug test that checks for drugs in these 5 common categories. Click on the substance name for a description of the laboratory method for detecting the substance. Cannabinoids (marijuana, hash) Cocaine (cocaine, crack, benzoylecognine) Amphetamines (amphetamines, methamphetamines, speed) Opiates (heroin, opium, codeine, morphine) Phencyclidine (PCP)
You can't be serious. this is the opiate forum...ofcourse hydrocodone is an opiate. It is however in a specific class of opiates/opiods. "Hydrocodone or dihydrocodeinone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from two of the naturally occurring opiates codeine and thebaine. " Hydrocodone does not break down into morphine it breaks down into dihydromorphinone. So unless the 5-panel test will test for hydromorphone you won't have any problems passing your test. Also, Not all 5-panel tests are the same. You can a 5-panel test in almost any assortment you desire. The standard is listed above but that is not always what is used. http://www.medicaldisposables.us/product.php?productid=32
Thats why it depends on what the test is for.. Spenze, what is the test for. if its for a job it won't show but if its specific it might. So we need to know before we can help ya any further..
