shitty weather= no work= high times

So I work in a Garden center & today I had to go in from 1030-730 but an hour and a half after I got there everyone but the managers were sent home b/c the weather is so crappy with really heavy snow so they figured we wouldn't have much business. I was a little bummed b/c I'm hourly so I missed out on quite a few hours pay, and at the time I was working outside in the snow & freezing temps w/ the Mexicans & they were hilarious & telling me I was going to learn spanish today. However I have tomorrow off as well so it's nice to have off two days a row in a week, which I never have. So I came home, smoked a bowl & just ate what I had packed myself for lunch today and now I'm just watching some of my dvd's & chilln, avoiding the cold weather. So its ending up to be a nice, relaxing day. Good times, good times.

 

Do you get paid for 3 hours for being sent home? Here if you are called in to work and sent home before working 3 hours, they still have to pay you for 3 hours work. Fuck this weather!

 

No, I'm pretty sure I only got paid for the hour in a half that I was there, which sucks.

 

sucks you didn't get a lot of hours in.. but a nice relaxing day when it's shitty outside is lovely.
