favorite things to do or places to be while tripping?

Wow, looks like the beach is the most popular answer. I'd love to try that some day. I like somewhere in nature during the day(morning).

 

any nature, silent, preferably next to a river, stream or lake.

 

Same here, but sometimes I enjoy the sound of waves. Awesome signature, by the way.

 

we had 'em in the 70s. We used to get in them and our heads stick out. Made a huge mess of styrofoam balls.

 

Definately nature ftw.

Although I'll probably never get the chance to repeat the experience, the most kick-arse thing I ever did was drive 300km to watch a meteor shower whilst tripping. It lasted for hours and was so clear that I could see individual meteors trailing thru the air and then break into seperate pieces before disintegrating. Wow.

Sometimes however, I wish I'd been straight so I could have a more vivid recollection. C'est la vie.

oh...and animals are very cool to interact with. I used to enjoy the company of my Carpet Python. Awesome creatures.

 

About 80% of the time I'll be inside. Every once and a while I'll do something, but I don't see the point, its the sort of thing you just want to sit back and focus inward. If its a nice warm summer night, I like to have a friend over, and we'll bring a big ass king size comforter and a few pillows outside and lay it across my hillside. And since I'm on a huge hill, in ohio, I can see for VERY far (since ohios a plain). About half the time we'll have deep conversation, and the other half, we will just listen to our ipods and go off in our own little world. And until you have tripped while staring up at the stars, you have not tripped. It seems like they are right above your eyes, like a black blanket with white dots. Its also a good background for seeing all the swirly geometric patterns and fireworks.

 

that sounds so incredible... i really hope that i get a chance to experience that someday.
