Dihydroergotamine mesylate, is it good for anything?

Any experienced chemist want to chime in?

 

its a migrane medication.. got a nasal spray of it i assume ?

i dont think i would try an get high on it as it basically cuts off the blood flow to your brain..

it also comes in injection form as well i see..

I'm not a retard and dont go sniffing stuff to get high. I was thinking more alongs lines of chemical means and its derivitives.

 

oh well i have no idea i was just assuming you were a retard like every other newb that comes to these forums..

i doubt you will get a definitive answer to that anytime soon on here as it usually takes a day or two at least for something like that to be answered.

but i gotta ask,if your not knowledgeable enough about chemistry to be able to research it on your own,what good will it do to know its means and derivatives?

 

I figure the easy way for a little knowledge is from someone who has been there done that. Besides this internet just wants to sell me the stuff when I search for it. As for my background in chem, lets just say a barely passed organic but aced the lab

 

Oh well, I suppose no responses answers my question. I was hoping someone would tell me it has some magic to it like it's relatives do.

 

I doubt it would be much good for anything, trying to purify lysergic acid from it would just be wasteful, most people still cultivate ergot these days so even that is pretty fail and risky

 

I've tried it many times for migraines, IV and the nasal spray. It's like a more powerful form of Imitrex. The chemical structure is different, but the way it works is similar. I would really recommend staying away from it though, it can give really unusual feelings of restlessness. Even in high doses, there's defiantly no "magic" to it.
