Well, today is my birthday, and for it my mom is going to pay for me a new tattoo So, either today or tomorrow I'm going to get the Vonnegut tattoo I always wanted! "So it goes." secretmachines was the one who encouraged me to do this because of the one she's getting So, I guess I have her to thank! Will post pics later.

Naw, I've got one tat on my right foot and vowed that I didn't want any more near the feet. haha Talking with my friend, I've decided, I'm gonna get "So it goes." in times new roman size 18 font on my inner wrist. Pretty small but I'm gonna get the asterisk Kurt drew for Breakfast of Champions below it.
Yeah, lol I just saw that. I was like shit. I mean, I know I'm not the first person to get so it goes, but you know. Mine's gonna be a little smaller, though. The font, anyway. The asterisk is about the same because Kurt drew it. I wouldn't dare change it.
Shit happened and my artist lost my paper with the Times font, so he ended up writing it himself on my arm. It worked out though, I like it. Also, this has to have been the least painful thing I have ever gotten, piercings included. It hardly hurt at all.

ahh, i'm happy to hear this! i love it. once i'm reunited with my favorite person in the whole world, the one who hooked me on vonnegut (i have read every single book he ever published except for one that i haven't finished yet.) we are getting our second tattoo together (it'll be my fourth, his third, but we have matching einsturzende neubauten ones) which will also be "so it goes". mine is going on the inside of my left wrist, above my einsturzende tat, and will have the exact font used on the lighter my friend gave me:

Awesome. Plus, that's a really good goal to have. I need to reread a lot of the books. Man, it's either going to be totally rad or so bad it makes me want to puke.
