the only reason people are planning to vote for bush even some democrats are voting for him is because he preyed on their fears and emotions. see bush wasn't doing anything to impress the people and when 9/11 happened he saw an opening to get the people behind him by saying america is going to war and that got people behind him without thinking about the innocent people in iraq getting killed by the american military. the people would have got behind anybody that said america is going to war after 9/11, unfortunately for us america had satan in office telling everybody that america is going to war, so the people got behind him. Not to belittle stem cells and gay marriage, but these issues are really sideshows in the campaign. It's really peculiar how they seem to have such a large effect on the way people vote in the U.S. It's almost as if people keep falling for politicians who profess on these issues because it just makes them feel good. The lower and middle class seem to get duped again and again into voting for a candidate based on his stance on these side issues when many other problems such as two nagging wars, $8 trillion of national debt, and the stagnant economy are more important. It's like the person who orders the diet coke with the Big Mac, Large Fries, and Apple pie, thinking he is doing something to solve his weight problem.
Absolutely. Gay marriage and stem cells are nothing more than BULLSHIT ISSUES that are used as a smoke screen to divert people's attention away from the real issues. Of course the mainsteam media is also fully involved in this whole charade, being owned by the military-industrial complex and all. I am both pro-stem cell research and pro-gay marriage, but these are indeed bogus issues that hold little importance when held up to the blinding light of reality we are facing as a country.
the election is all about the war on terrorism. in my opinion, Bush is the worst most horrible terrorist this world has ever seen. i agree, it's NOT on side issues, but WHY on earth would you vote for the person RESPONSIBLE for the war in the first place? Even if Kerry ISNT the greatest presidential candidate to ever exsist, ANYONE could do better then Bush is doing. How could anyone do a worse job?

God hates war; however, it is necessary to maintain order in the earth and overcome those who would like to destroy good. In fact, the first war ever recorded was the war in heaven where Satan and his evil angels fought against God and his angels. We know this war was won by God through Christ. Some Christians are having difficulty with the actions of our government in the area of war as the heart of Christianity is to love our enemies, not destroy them. How do we reconcile this as Christians? We must understand that the Bible deals with the role of government differently than that of an individual Christian. Throughout the Bible, the main role of governments was to protect its people from threatening invaders and to maintain law and order within its borders. This was done by maintaining a military force. They were clearly warned,and had time to flee, that they would be in a line of fire by staying in certain areas. When we are finished with Iraq they will be free and liberated. If you have TRUE democracy you don't need leaders as everyone is the leader. War is just people brainwashed to kill and risk death for their leaders. These so called enemies are people you probably share a pint and a toke with, in different circumstances (no leaders, problem solved). Also police were invented due for the legal usurpation of wealth from local communites and put it in the hands of aritrocrats. As Ivan Illch said: "the industrial nations do not question the looting of the commons, only the distribution of the plunder." The police is to keep the peasants (us working class drones) in line. In a democracy everyone is a leader??? As Socrates will tell you, the majority is the leader. And a war can be initiated by rational, free thinking people who kill and risk death to defend their own values. I would never have joined the military to fight for someone else. I didn't join to fight for you, or even America. I joined to fight for myself, because in fighting for the United States I effectively fight for what matters to me, which is protected under the laws of this country. So obviously the police, in any place, time, or capacity, must be the tools of the have's to keep down the have-not's? That kind of class warfare thinking doesn't cut it. I just said that is what they were invented for. They are ther to kick people off their land, why? Because of the encloser act that took land from local communies and turned them from commons to commodities. This was the first use of early police forces and wealth usurpation is still a prime function of police. The police prevents peace and solidaridy as they protect the ruling class from the people from reclaiming their land. Just look at the police at any city and notice they prevent homeless from claiming abandon buildings.
