ah, don't think i'll be a big help.

but if you're looking for some cool albums, i could suggest some. maybe one or two you haven't heard yet.

check out anything by can, like tago mago or ege bamyasi.

captain beefheart and the magic band is a must, i have the spotlight kid and the clear spot on the same disc, and it was affordable and thats some good shit. as is frank zappa, i highly recommend hot rats.

you probably know them, but if not check out the allman brothers.

while its an unusual and recent album, definitely check out robert plant and alison krauss's album "raising sand"

if you want to hear something out of this world, check out don cherry's album "orient" and keep in mind its very experimental (its crazy, extremely psychedelic). "blue lake" is good, too :cheers2:

    Artist/Album
    ------------
    The Doors-Strange Days
The Beatles- Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
    The Grateful Dead- Aoxomoxoa
    Jefferson Airplane- Surrealistic Pillow
Jimi Hendrix- First Rays of the Rising Sun
Mahavishnu Orchestra- Visions of an Emerald Beyond
Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here
    The Pretty Things- S.F Sorrow
Simon and Garfunkel- The Concert in Central Park
The Small Faces- Ogden's Nut Gone Flake
The United States of America- United States of America
The 13th Floor Elevators- The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators
    -----------------------
Some of these seem steriotypical, but theres a reason for that. The reason i put entire albums is because when you trip you can really get into the groove a certain bands style. And many of these bands created an entire album to go together (pink floyd for example), so thats why.

oh yeah, mahavishnu orchestra is good. check out "birds of fire"

and mile oldfield's album "tubular bells" is damn good, too. i listened to it on my second trip ever:cheers2:

it was fall, i had an eighth and put on my headphones and listened to it and walked through the woods looking at all the bright leaves and the decay around me. it was pretty stellar.

this is just a short clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4eZJh3FFg0 its really a long work. you may recognize parts of it which were used for "the exorcist"
