I joined this community because i am interested in the kind of topics that seem to be central to discussion here. I am an artist, musician, and writer. My art is visionary, done in pretty much any medium. I will share some of that when the time comes. My music is primarily electronic, although the acoustic guitar and hand drum serve as the start of many of my compositions. My writing is highly philosophical with a strong leaning toward mysticism and monism, think Shankara, Rumi, and Plotinus, with a psychedelic poetic edge. My sentences often look like those of Hegel, very dense and full of tangents within tangents. Originally his work was in German, which I do not read, so possibly it is more of a tendency in the German language to speak like that. I am a proponent of LSD, and scholar of the ancient mysteries, which were the western precursor to the modern psychedelic movement. I believe that reverence is an essential part of the psychedelic agenda. I think everyone should first know the latin root of the word psychedelic before they throw it around. Psyche is soul. Delos is manifest. So, psychedelic is that by which the soul is made recognizable or apparent. So, anyways, hopefully I will meet some people through these forums which are equally passionate about the many nuances of life and inspired by the mystery. Because if there is one thing that turns me off about humanity, it is unrelenting cynicism and defeatism. We all have enough of that in ourselves, no need to spread it around the idealist community, just mucks up the gears. You know? Cheers!
